Xavier Munford was sitting behind us at the game. We hugged. I also hate basketball. Fuck us. Fuck EC. Fuck KI. I would love to have x again.

He's got 35 points today with 12 minutes left in the game against Boyce (whoever that is).

I have never heard of most schools they have played plus they lost to a lot of them. Good for Matt, I liked his game, but this is against competition much below D1.
Agree should be under former players.

Rhody fans should know that Dawan is bigtime in Italy and Europe, with his team winning a championship last year.

He plays with attitude.
He's still clutch, winning games with last second shots.
You can communicate with almost any former player,
on Facebook.
They love to be remembered for what they did at URI.

Ill never forget driving home from a game he won on a last second shot and he gave a postgame interview "Dawan how did that last play go?" and he just goes "I just spint, then I then spint again and I shot it". Got my parents to get me his jersey the next game haha

His shot to beat Seton Hall in the NIT was one of my favorite memories as a student. I think I've told this story before, but I was working as a student in the athletics media relations office so I was at the scorers table for the game helping with stats and totally got in trouble for leaping the scorers table and rushing the court after he hit the shot. Forgot for a minute that I was working and shouldn't be doing stuff like that!

One of the most interesting things is, how many
ex-Rams from different eras keep in touch with each other.
My guy, John Fultz, who now teaches English to Italians, when I told him of Kenny Green's plight
in Qatar, immediately contacted Kenny to see if he could help.
John loves to talk about his time at URI, his jousts with Dr J,
and anything else.
Guys like Abdul Fox and Will Daniels are great guys.
Dustin Helenga is kind of stand offish.
Kenny Green remains upbeat, despite his problems in Qatar.
Randy Wilds is a political maven, and loves to talk politics.
Dawan likes to talk football, and the Pats.
Rusty Cordua, the best shooter I ever saw at URI, told me leaving Rhody after his sophomore year,
was his big ""what if".
Denny McGovern, my first favorite Ram is terrific.
Dan said his father still talks about Denny, who is from Jersey City,
to this day.
As I said, they all enjoy the contact and being remembered.

yup, always loved the attitute and toughness to Dawan's game. Guy always had brass ones and never backed away from the pressure spots. Scary to imagine what he would've been if not for that knee injury.
The loudest single moment at the RC has to be Dawan draining the bomb of a 3 against Seton Hall in the NIT.

Kenny's great. I wonder if he'll ever get home?
He's got a family growing up, while he's stuck
in Qatar.
What a mess.
Maybe we can get the Navy Seals to break him out of there?
Most of our old players will always say how
much they enjoyed their time at URI.

Well, he got a good size loan a few years back.
Qatar law says you can't leave the country until
it's paid.
Kenny is past his international playing days,
and paying it back is a problem.

He got player of the week award today. Here is the box score of that incredible performance.

The 8 three-pointers Jimmy hit against Duke was one of the greatest shooting performances I've ever seen. Most of those shots were well behind the 3-point line and contested, which made it that much more impressive.
I think we only lost that game by 2 or 3 points even though Duke attempted twice as many FTs. Great game to watch regardless of the loss.

Mike Amman who got 17 against UConn was pretty much a non factor yesterday. Only 4 points.

There was something strange going on with Aaman yesterday. They were talking about how he forgot his jersey (or the equipement manager did) and was wearing a different number and then he didn't start like he normally does and sat for a long time before coming in. The announcer was speculating that there must have been something else going on there. Hope he's alright.

Maybe too many concussions, already taking a toll.
Hope not.
He was in and out of the game several times,
and did not have a good game.

endless rehabbing.
This is what TV has come to.

Yes, good news for X
Munford goes to FC Barcelona Lassa. They are in 3rd place in the 17 team league with a 13-4 record to date.
PG Tyrese Rice from Boston College and Justin Doellman from Xavier are in the starting line up for Barcelona
Good opportunity for Munford
Billy Baron plays in the same league for UCAM Murcia
