The Cuttino video is starting to blow up online. Both ESPN Sportsnation and Deadspin have it as well.

For 30-50,000 Euros a month tax-free I'd live there for 8 months too no questions asked.

This is like going to Siberia. Correction---This is Siberia!!! Must have felt at home with their "Keaney Blue " uniforms or there is an Olga that is part of the story.

The following news release also refers to Rhode Island University.http://www.eurobasket.com/Russia/news/4 ... lroy-James

Here's a nice story about a Ram great who certainly had
his share of problems.
I was talking to my favorite URI legend, The Godfather, Bob Terino.
He was always close to Sly Williams, and stayed in touch with him
through thick and thin.
He said Sly has gotten his NBA pension and is living in Georgia.
He's completely turned his life around and is now a solid family
man.
Sly has seemingly learned from his past mistakes and is very
happy in his new life.
Sly was at the Iona game last year. He was very relaxed and
his smile showed that he was glad to be there and greeting people
who remembered and appreciated him during his
time at URI.
Good to see how things are going in his latest chapter in life.

His late uncle Leo DiMaio was a critical piece why guys like Lamar, T-Bell, Ed Brown, Luther Clay ect stepped on the floor for us. I know him and his family are still close with guys like Preston, ARD, and Cuttino

Lamar Odom was my introduction to URI hoops as a kid and the reason I've followed the team religiously since then. I'll always be thankful for that, so I'm glad to see that he's proud of being a Ram.

Results from last night's game:
The players from Klaipėda, “Neptūnas” played yet another exhibition game; this time, in “Švyturio Arena“, the players of Dainius Adomaitis met with the powerful team from Russia, “Nizhny Novgorod” who competed in the Euroleague last year. After a persistent fight, the victory was celebrated by the guests with a final result of 81:77 (22:20, 14:16, 25:15, and 20:26).

Among the ranks of “Neptūnas” Martynas Mažeika scored 23 points, Jerai Grant added 13 (13 rebounds), Simas Galdikas - 12, Arnas Butkevičius - 10, Donatas Zavackas - 8, Mindaugas Girdžiūnas - 6, Daniel Ewing 4, and Gilvydas Biruta - 1 pt.

From the opposing team Semyon Antonov scored 16 and Maksim Grigoryev - 15 pts.

The information is a little difficult to sort through, but I think this is from the first game. 4 points, 4 rebounds in 16 minutes

Per the GW fan forum, former URI and UVM player Chris Holm is now on the GW staff. Holm was forced out by Jim Baron and transferred to UVM where he played there for Mike Lonergan (now the GW head coach). Chris played overseas in the years since graduation.

His Holm ended up where he should have started. He's popular on this board for giving g a FU to Baron. An ordinary player. Looking forward to the Sly doc. He had an amazing set of skills. Off the court he walked on the wild side.

Sly could have been a key off the bench for one of the greatest teams ever, the 1985-86 Celtics. Probably would have spotted Bird at small forward. Bird, DJ, Parish, McHale, Ainge...with Walton, Sly and an aging Wedman off the bench. Damn.
Quebec loved Sly's game. He was less thrilled about his lifestyle. Sly played a few games, blew off a few practices and it was happy trails.

I never though of X as NBA material but good luck to him. He could make a lot in Europe, so maybe he's being encouraged to play in the D league, where the money sucks but visibility helps.

The grafs in question are the following:

"Is the 1985-86 Celtics team the greatest of all time?

“I don’t know about all time, but it was by far the best I ever played on,” said Bird. “When I went to training camp, I knew that if we stayed healthy, no one could come close to beating us. And that was before we lost Sly Williams. He was unbelievable.’’
