When did team year end banquets merit coverage?
Probably when Projo writers deems honorable mention All Americans
as full fledged All American team members.

I used to wonder if Harold Rich wore a Friar jersey when he wrote his articles.

A 7 footer who was the 4th leading rebounder on your team & only averaged 19.9 minutes/game was the Defensive Player of the Year?

Not trying to be argumentative, but did you watch any PC games this year or are you simply looking at stats? Desroisiers changed many games with his ability to block and alter shots in the middle. In those 19 or so minutes you referenced, Desroisiers blocked 2.4 shots, and we obviously can't quantify altered shots that we know a true shot blocker causes, but if you watched the games would know exist. The next closest player in terms of blocked shots was Batts, at .771, in roughly 11 minutes more. Defense isn't just about rebounding, it's also about impact...

agree with RJ, Derosisers offensive game is weak but he is a game changer on defense...smart player with 7 foot reach, altered a ton of shots at the rim.

This is journalism? A Projo writer tweeting to two recruits that
PC would like them. Disgraceful! He could have said it without using their Twitter
addresses.
Kevin McNamara ‏@KevinMcNamara33 1h
Providence has 2 open scholarships, wants to fill with Brewster backcourt of Davante Graham @im_dat_kid_dtae and @JaredTerrell32 .

Always liked Bill Parillo. He did a great job covering the Red Sox for years.

Which "rapists" would you be referring to?

The Marvin Barnes Award, a tire iron mounted on a skull by Emblem & Badge, is reserved for Fryizz who try to murder one of their teammates.

He played here for ONE year, and by the way, he
didn't commit his crime on campus, like some
people did at PC.

And even Dwight (The Knife) Williams, who tried to kill another student over a game of pool, wouldn't qualify. The person he stabbed wasn't a teammate.

And if you want to bring up crimes committed after graduation (or, in Pee-C's case, certificate of attendance), Marvin Barnes could fill up two books all by himself.

Typical bozo red does not do his homework before opening his big mouth. Was it not a former URI player that was just arrested in a drive by shooting killing an innocent mother of two. Oh and Sly Williams he was a model citizen to was he not?

Frankly, I don't really see any good coming out of this topic being open, so I'm locking it. I'm not sure why people want to get in these pissing matches - There are clearly enough skeletons in both programs' closets that neither really has the moral high ground here. It's not "Baylor under Dave Bliss" level crap, but suffice to say that both programs have accepted people of less than stellar character in the pursuit of winning games in various sports.
