I wish he would have gone to a Gamecock basketball game and not a football win against Georgia. No way a kid couldn't love that. Too bad. His basketball future would have been better at URI.

That's not going to happen, either.

Nakye Sanders hasn't signed with anybody yet. We could still go after him.....or Falzon.

This shows how much 247 sports knows. At the end, not one of their guys had him going to South Carolina.

Sanders is too small. We need a big man.
Falzon is going to an academic elite school, like Stanford
or Vanderbilt. Dan told me this spring, he wasn't very
optimistic about getting Falzom because of his high academic standing.

Billyboy, I told you 24/7 knows shit.

I actually think Falzon will go to BC.

Not getting a big guy means we're going to have to depend a lot on Watson and Hare next year. And hopefully Iffy can improve and contribute. It also could mean Hassan plays a lot more at the 4 instead of the 3.

Not sure why it took me so long to figure this out, but I added a DONATE button to the bottom of the site if anyone wants to send any amount to help offset the $30/mo hosting costs that come out of my bank account each month.

As you know I have high hopes for Hare. If he can be the player he was projected to be we're gonna be AOK.

No shame in losing a kid to SCar and Frank Martin; especially at The UGA game.

Just got back from my daughters wedding rehearsal, and was disappointed with the Silva decision, but I'm not forgetting that we did land a 4 in Butts, who may still be growing and improving on an already strong game. I don't think we will be in trouble next year with the bigs we have.

You know to put it in proper perspective.
We haven't had a winning season in three years and really been
insignificant since 1999.
That Dan Hurley has amassed the type of talent that he has, and drawn serious interest
from others that seriously considered URI, speaks volumes.
Imagine if he starts winning and then winning big?
Could be the sky's the limit.

Exactly Rod! It's easy to get frustrated sometimes because we all want this thing to move along as quickly as possible to be relevant again, but the reality is I think we are farther along than we probably should be at this point.

If the Rams put together a 20-win season or two and make some kind of post season noise, recruiting this type of guy will be like shooting fish in a barrel. We've got the talent on the roster now to do that, so patience is the key. I'm confident DH knows this and won't waste scholarships going forward on mediocre talent. Silva would have been a nice pick-up, but I'm confident we'll get more shots at guys like this going forward.

Amen to that. I was standing right next to the hoop when he hit that shot. Amazing game, and my first time storming a bball court as well.

Yup, great game to be at! unfortunately it was on the precipice of a long protraction of our program's quality, back then it still felt like we would be returning to the dance sooner rather than later. If someone had asked me if I would be willing to endure the pain of so many almosts, I'd tell them I was a Bills fan during the Jim Kelly years and it ain't a hand grenade its a heart break, but I'll trade it all for the current buzz around the program, knowing now that we were just waiting for DH to cut his teeth at St B's helps deal with the memory of the "Baron Years". Hey it wasn't all bad, just the part where my brother was able to, year after year, tell me "I told you so", we had some good players who gave us some great memories like the one of the SH game, but I'm glad we're done thinking average is good.

I agree, I guess I thought that only the recent change that gives the "big boys" more flexibility allowed South Carolina to offer a four year scholly.

Can anyone give a four year ride if they want to??

I remember watching Silva's announcement, when it was
supposed to be SC and URI as his finalists.
As I said, imagine if we had Brooks, Silva, and Monte Morris,
Kyle Kuzma, Bonzie Colson, all guys were once recruited?
"If",is such a big word.
