BC Coach
It seems the short list contains some familiar names:

I can't see Cooley taking the job. He's got a great class coming in and PC has the bucks to keep him happy. I'm surprised BC doesn't cast a wider net.

I think there's a small chance Cooley takes the job. You never know what's going on up there.
I doubt it though.

Re: BC Coach
Considering that Cooley still holds Al in such high regard, I would be totally shocked if he would even answer the phone if BC called him. And good for him. I respect that.

Re: BC Coach
I kind of agree with that.
However, if PC wins a couple of games in the tourney, someone else could come calling.
Yes, even mighty PC is a stepping stone to a better job, no matter how great a situation Cooley feels he has there.
Of course, with the watered down NBE, maybe Cooley figures he has a better chance of making a big splash where he is, rather than starting all over again in, say the Big 10 or ACC.

Re: BC Coach
I definitely think Cooley would listen to certain teams, but BC isn't one of them. Not sure what situation out there would be a potential fit. None that are open right now, as far as I can tell.

Yep. No way Cools even answers the phone for BC.
BC is the rare/only school that plays in an elite hoops league but the basketball is 3rd priority -- nevermind 2nd behind football.
BC has shit fans. They deserve the hoops program they have.

Re: BC Coach
Basketball might even be fourth priority at BC... you can debate the order, but men's ice hockey, women's ice hockey, and football are the top three. And the fans of those programs (especially hockey) are legit. Their basketball fan base is worse than a joke - it's basically nonexistent.

Re: BC Coach
For some people money is not everything.
Cooley has a nice house ini East Greenwich, son goes to East Greenwich High School. He likes Rhode Island. He might play up PC's success for a more lucrative, more long term contract as do a lot of Coaches (Shaka Smart, etc).
Then again maybe he does answer the phone to a BCS School - never know.
Also will be interesting to see how this mess with the two Freshmen plays out - maybe it gets too hot in the kitchen and he needs to go out for some fresher air.
