Terrell's teammate at Brewster.

Some good schools involved with him, let's make up for losing out on his teammate!

Looks decently athletic, would like to see more of his jump shot though.

No, he plays for Brewster. They played at the NPSI in Providence a few weeks ago.

Good footwork, hands, body control, and court vision. I'd like to see him in a Ram jersey.

I've never seen him play, but I'm not opposed to getting all of the Jared/Jarreds from Brewster.

ESPN Analyst
Updated 05/06/2014

Strengths:
Reuter's game is similar to that of a poor man's Tyler Hansbrough in that he is a power player inside with a terrific motor. He plalys with reckless abandon inside the paint, bullying physically weaker and less aggressive players. Even at his young age opposing players already bounce off his strong frame as he carves out space to score inside, rebound, and defend the post. He has a soft touch inside the lane, signs of a developing jump hook with his back the basket, and enough skill to step out and shoot.

Weaknesses:
Reuter missed his entire freshman season with an injury and needs to get back into basketball shape since making his return. As he continues to add muscle to his frame he needs to ensure that he doesn't get stronger at the expense of his conditioning or mobility. He projects as more of a power player than a high level athlete against the highest levels of competition and needs to continue to develop his overall ball skills both inside and out.

Bottom Line:
He's a wide body who knows how to make his frame work for him. People bounce off him inside the lane and he sets the tone physically on both ends of the floor. His hands are super soft, allowing him to make tough catches in traffic, and he excels at creating space. He already has a little jump hook over his left shoulder and is equally capable of facing up to bounce once or twice.

Having watch some film, I get the impression you liked the idea of signing Rokas, you will love Reuter. Very strong, and has a variety of post moves. Finished well around the rim too. Can he run the floor and keep up with EC, Hasan, Jared and Jarvis?

I liked Gustys but I like Reuter better. Better shooter, better finisher - brings more offense to the position than Gustys.

Reports are that Reuter looked very good at the Reebok Classic, only one of our recruits that made the all-star team. I think he's the big bodied banger we're looking for. Let's get him next!

No, I didn't know he was born in RI. But he lives in Rochester, Mass., which is near New Bedford, so he's only about 15/20 minutes from RI (Tiverton).

Finkelstein, who probably sees these New England kids play more than anybody, actually has Reuter ranked one spot higher than Enoch.

He says Providence, URI, South Carolina, and Northwestern are among the schools pursuing him the hardest:
http://www.thebasketballdiary.com/2014/ ... er-of.html

2015 New England Playaz Jarred Reuter has dropped 30 pounds over the past several months and still not the most explosive, his abilities to score over length has produced some and with his numbers within the paint have done just the same giving much reason for why many of the Big 10’s and Big East’s have come out with offers. He remains wide open with the process and has no timetable with his recruitment, to date.
http://hoopsintel.sportswar.com/2014/07 ... challenge/
Jarred Reuter, 2015 PF, NE Playaz: Reuter showed that he is a solid passer from the post and kept his man from scoring easy buckets. While he is predominantly a below-the-rim type of player, he is a bruiser on the block and would fit perfectly in at a B1G program.

This kid seems to fit the mold for the type of bruiser DH covets. I think he hoped Gil would become that, but he has turned into more of a finesse Euro type big.

As far as schools, Reuter said he noticed that Providence, Rhode Island, Iowa and South Carolina attended all of his games.

“They’ve really been recruiting me hard this week,” he said.

As for both Providence and Rhode Island, he said, “I like both of them. Both programs have great coaches, great coaching staffs that are getting better. It’s exciting that it’s close to home and exciting that they’re getting better.”

I don't think Reuter's recruitment will start to be sorted out until the end of the summer. He's played really well this AAU season and is continuing to pick up new interest. Jared will take a bunch of visits in August, and I think fans will have a better idea of who is really a major player for him after the visits.

Jarred Reuter continued his big summer while averaging 15.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game and shooting 62% from the floor. ESPN’s Reggie Rankin recognized him on day 1 of the event for being the best low post passer in his day 1 recap while CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein compared him to former Notre Dame star Luke Harangody.

Interesting that UMASS and BC are not in the Final 5
5 Different Conferences in his final 5:
URI - Atlantic 10
PC - Little Big East
Iowa - Big 10
South Carolina - Southeast Conference
Virginia - Atlantic Coast Conference
We are certainly in good company.

In the past 10 days, Virginia has offered several bigs, including two other PFs, Luke Maye and Omari Spellman, both 4 star players. They also offered Caleb Swanigan, a 5 star C. If they sign one of them, especially one of the PFs, I would think it would be unlikely that Reuter would go there.

Actually, Spellman is a '16, but Maye is showing a lot of interest in Virginia. He could be the key guy here.

To my knowledge, UVA also only has one 'ship left.

PC is in the final 3 of Top 100 Alex Owens who is an unsigned PF, although most think PC would still be interested in Reuter as part of another package deal attempt to further entice Donovan Mitchell who they are in good position with, but whose recruitment has really heated up with the likes of Indiana, Villanova, Georgetown, Memphis and Louisville all offering in the last 2 months to join the likes of other interested parties like UCONN (offer), Florida (offer), and Kansas (interest).

URI, Iowa, and South Carolina may be the most desirable of the 3, although URI has Butts and Iowa and South Carolina are also competitive with other talented power forward recruits.

This is one recruiting race where I have no idea where the dominoes are going to fall.

Butts is a tweener, who fills a stat sheet without dominating, but makes an impact when he's on the floor. Reuter is a different kind of player. He's a beast. No head-to-head there….
Also, package deals with players hardly ever happen….Hasn't PC learned its lesson with the Abu-Terrell debacle as Cooley babysat them for better part of two years?????
MItchell's offers are all over the place and before anyone realizes it, he'll be at Louisville or Florida or Kentucky or UConn or Indiana or….

P.S. By-the-way: There are still some Friar diehards still waiting for the Jiggy-Soup package deal to happen.
