Sean Obi is moving on from Duke. Grad Transfer, eligible immediately.

6'9 big guy who struggled to find a place at Duke. Was solid as a freshman at Rice (11Pts, 9Reb)

Eligible immediately. Big man we could use next year. Definitely interesting. I don't see anything showing we were involved with him out of HS. Do we have any connections to him?

Just check the DUKE v URI box score, and he never left the bench. Although Coach K only played two bench players, one being Jeter, for a total of 12 minutes.

He's a 6'8" 2 star from Montreal, playing Riverside in Maryland.
He was offered by Canisius.
Can't find much.

" Samuel is also more than a project and came to Riverdale with plenty in his arsenal. He can already shoot with range, create for others off the dribble and block shots, and that versatility should be attractive to college recruiters who see him more as this winter progresses.

Wilson noted his goal the next two years will be to add muscle to Samuel’s long, skinny frame and improve his conditioning. There are already signs, however, that the Crusaders may have stumbled upon another star."

He was also offered by VA Tech at this point and is beginning to receive much interest, more high level.

What this team needs for next year is an addition like Charles Cooke. Say what you will about his being a team player, but without him Dayton would not have been a NCAAT team this year.

He could score, rebound and play D. Pretty good combo.

Seems to me, could be wrong, but staff has been targeting more size and length. At least with this board. Dan mention size and length, and how basically important it is, talking about NC, I think, may be realizing if you want to win at the highest level you need it. Game is not going small, at least on national level, where we hope to go.

Zach Lewis and Zach Coleman are both transferring from Umass. Coleman isn't much of a loss but Lewis averaged around 20 minutes for them last year.

Juwan Durham, 6'11" freshman out of Tampa is leaving UConn.
Was top 50 4star, who blew his ACL in high school.
Has three years eligibility left.
We seem not to have been involved at any point in
his recruitment.
Worth a call, anyway.

"Before UConn: Following a stellar junior season at Tampa Prep, was a consensus Top 75 recruit and rising, as well as a McDonald’s All-American nominee. Then suffered a torn ACL in his left knee last fall and missed his entire senior season... Averaged 22.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.7 blocks during his junior season before tearing the ACL in his right knee during a regional semifinal game in February. Spent the spring and summer in rehab, but likely tried to come back too early and suffered the injury to the other knee... Has not played competitively since February, 2015... Played three seasons at Tampa Prep under coach Joe Fenlon... Was Florida 3A Player of the Year as a sophomore and junior... Played AAU ball for Team Breakdown Elite out of North Lauderdale, Fla."

6'11 is always welcomed in Kingston. This Ewing to Georgetown news should effect URI/Hurley positively. Knowing Dan will be back is music to recruits ears who are interested in being a ram.

UConn is in a mess right now.....the destruction of the big east together with their chase for football dollars has backfired on them....you wonder if it is true that BC prevents them from going to the ACC where they always wanted to be...how long before Ollie heads to the NBA...

Ollie needs to get his act together or could find himself on the hotseat next year. I doubt any NBA team will be calling till he shows that NC year was no fluke when he was playing with Calhoun's players. Funny thing is they were almost bounced in the first round even that year I believe ST Joes had them on the ropes and blew it.

It is standard for the release to include a restriction on any conference schools and the school the recruiting coach went to (LSU in this case).

Conference schools, yes, but coaches commonly bring recruits with them from one school to another.

Cameron Johnson from Pittsburgh sounds like he might be the type we're looking for though not sure he's looking to move down a level. Listed as a 6'10" guard eligible right away with two years to play.

Jeremiah Tilmon, a '17, 5* center has requested his release from his commitment to Illinois. No, he's not coming here, but one of his possible landing spots is St. Louis. Would be a huge get for the A10.

That would potentially make back-to-back recruiting classes with a 5* player for SLU. They have Cart'Are Gordon, a 5* PF committed in the class of 2018.

As far as 2017, Tilmon would make for a very strong '17 recruiting class for Saint Louis:

Jeremiah Tilmon - 5* Center (ESPN Top 100)
Jordan Goodwin - 4* Guard (ESPN Top 100)
Hasahn French - 4* Forward

For reference, I used ESPN rankings for this. Didn't go look at the other recruiting services.

St. Louis could become a real force in the next couple of years if these recruits pan out and Ford can coach them up.

A 5 star center? Could we ever land such a thing? Same thing for a 5 star PF......

This staff has some serious work to do...if I have any concern going forward this is the biggest by far.

This NCAAT appearance and all the associated positive pub needs to yield some dividends, in the next few weeks and especially this fall.

Now I can see why we need a BB practice facility.

Saint Louis is coming back from the depth with a vengeance wow.
After they've been so bad the last few years it's been easy to forget they were so damn good for those three straight 25plus win years.
