OK, Hal Kopp's on record for 10k. I dunno. I would think it will be at the same level assuming weather is good.

Can anyone remember when we had 10k at meade?

In 2010, that season where we could have gotten to the playoffs had we not been screwed out of a game-winning TD in the back of the North endzone at Meade, we had 7600 for the Brown game.

that guy was in ATP

also I remember a guy where it was close to 10k between '08 and '10 but don't remember the game. there were people standing around the fence and the aisles were full on the east side

Don't know the last time we had 10k, but the 1995 game vs. Uconn for the Yankee Conference North lead I think there were over 8,000 in a driving Southwester Rain Storm, were URI won on the last play of the game, and had to drive into the rain and wind the length of the field to get the TD and Win. Lou Holtz son was coach of UConn.

I doubt 10k simply because you had an attendance boost from parents weekend with all the freshman parents coming to see their kids at college. 1 student probably equalled ~3 people yesterday

Should the amount of alumni coming back as well as the celebration of the rhody grand team at homecoming rival the family weekend crowd. I dont see a sell out but maybe close to 7500 or 8000. After the win this weekend maybe more people will come.

Meade doesn't hold 10k.

I would guess the announced attendance is somewhere around 7k.

They've had some 10k crowds in the past back in the 80s. You can fit a lot of standing fans in that place. Also, I think the capacity went down when they rebuilt the Ryan Center side.

It did, but there are much bigger egress concerns now than there were in the 80s. 10k would be really really stretching it.

1 more game left vs. Villanova, who was ranked in the top 20 last time I checked. Trainer repeatedly told anyone who would listen about the difficult schedule that the team faced, with having 5 of their first seven on the road (he may even have stated in an interview about how we were the only team in the country facing that?). With that said, we are facing the distinct possibility of losing 4 of the 5 games that finish out the schedule.

All the official literature has the capacity of the stadium listed as 6,555 but clearly it is closer to 10k. Nowhere near 10k on Saturday, maybe 6, probably 5.
