Even UNH football is joining the race. They will add lights for next season so that they can host night games:

It is amazing we don't have lights. Lights come in handy in late October and November.
I knew a person who went to Notre Dame in the early 1990's, they did not have lights yet and needed to bring in Musco lighting like Brown U.

URI has brought in lights before - portable lights
All High School Fields in the South and Southwest have lights
Only problem with lights that I see for Northeast Football fields is that it can get so cold at night even for Fall Games. Hard enough to get good crowds out on Fall Saturday afternoons.
But that being said I do think that Rhody should have lights on their Football Field

Lots of high school fields in Connecticut have lights and most high school games are now played Friday nights. It's pathetic URI doesn't have lights and turf.

My high school is in Rhode island, started off with temporary lights, called it Friday night lights, then saved enough for permanent lights. Also a d3 football team but the track is uses by the public at night. Anyways lights would be cool but rather save it for more presentable stadium upgrades.

I was under the impression that the soccer lights were installed as a result of a donation by someone. Lights have been on the soccer field for at least 20 years I would say.
