I always felt Les Miles was dirty. He's the only person that could
make you root for Nick Saban.

I'd love to see this bleed over to Travis Ford.

While NOT FAWNING OVER SOME 18 YEAR-OLD BOYS, as one poster stated, especially a recruit lost by URI, one wonders what kind of sanction Oklahoma State will receive, the worst being ACADEMIC FRAUD AND LACK OF INSTITUTIONAL CONTROL. While others cite that the NCAA takes forever in investigating, etc., that is not always true, especially if the schools under investigation are pro-active, i.e., PENN STATE and MIAMI.
Should be verrrrrrry interesting,,,,,,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krD4hdGvGHM

That poster is now busy constructing his Xavier Munford/ Dan Hurley dart board.

Wonder if Terrell will have second thoughts about his verbal now.

Where there's smoke, there's fire.........

It's all about the money in college sports, the bigger the school, the bigger the money.....

Really makes you wonder about his "recruitment"

Dan Hurley and the URI program just didn't have the cash, drugs, sex etc. to offer him. In other words, URI's at a big disadvantage here. Not saying this is true of OkSt, but hmmm.......

Be thankful URI has not, is not -- and WILL NOT -- take that position!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(There, that's the point……………..)

Anyone else nonplussed about this whole story? This happens everywhere. Much of the article is hearsay, without evidence. Sure, it probably happened. What makes OK St different than any other major football university?

Of course guys are taking money (especially if they're from poor households), and star athletes have ALWAYS gotten preferential classroom treatment. Some team members smoking pot before games, especially against inferior opponents, is commonplace from high school to the pros. Danny Kanell (who works for ESPN) talks about the violations on Scott Van Pelt's podcast the other day: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/podcast/archive?id=3028618

Looks like much ado about nothing.
I was hoping the SEC would really get nailed, but
they haven't laid a glove on them.

Did anybody else see the Jason Witlock interview basically tearing apart the writer of this? I'm not a Whitlock fan, and I have no idea if what he is claiming is even true, but damn was it interesting.

Whitlock being Whitlock. It's fine if he wants to claim that the writer went after OSU because he has some love of Oklahoma, but he didn't really attack the allegations themselves, or the reporting of the piece.

I was more impressed Whitlock was able to do it without a tortured Wire reference.

Shame, there's plenty of ways to analogize Oklahoma State to Bubbles Depot.

Not sure if this was posted on here already but...here is what ESPN has stated thus far(cheating, sexual favors, other perks...ect...):

Naturally, the ex O.St coach denies all allegations.

From the SI piece...
SI.com wrote:Adds a former staff member, who says that he and at least one other staff member under Miles were aware that a few Orange Pride members were having sex with recruits: "The thing about Stillwater, there's really nothing to do. The guys come on visits. They stay at [a hotel]. The girls would go up, bam, bam, and that was it."
