If PC plays a second round home game, it will be at the Ryan Center due to scheduling conflicts at the Dunk

That's lame, Cooley doesnt even want to have to play us at the Ryan Center anymore, I say tell them to screw off and find a high school to play at.

UNC just called. They want their fight song, mascot, and colors back.

Must be nice to model yourself after a school that wins, almost balances everything out.

Before you get your underwear in a bunch, it's a joke. Settle down Big Hoss.

I mean, I know I wouldn't want my rival to play one of the biggest games in the arena's history :D

But in all seriousness, if PC were to play Kentucky (a game must would expect to be a sellout), how do you say no?

I don't think they really should say no, just think it would be funny if they did. Obviously this is all just messing around, certainly don't take any of it too seriously. Sean is the only one who seems to really let it get to him.

But in a way it would be good for PC to play this game at the Ryan Center. They need to get used to losing on that floor on a regular basis now anyway. This will be good practice for the years to come.

Considering we have won 3 in a row and 4 out of 5, are you sure you want us to keep launching daggers in the Ryan? I'd love the opportunity to make the Ryan our home away from home!

You should probably be more focused on keeping the game close :D

Ricky Ledo has been known to be very comfortable dropping buckets in the Ryan Center.

I think uk would host.
Pee-c would only need the rc if they win and uk loses.
But correct me if i'm wrong.
Wouldn't it be funny if the last thing thorr does as ad is tell pc to screw.

Dude! I had to do a double-take on your post's time stamp. Kentucky DID lose last night to Robert Morris. It was on national TV for all to enjoy.

And it is all over the NCAA or bust thread, and the news. Weird....

You must've flunked history. Kearney invented the team's color

Yup, because there is a tremendous difference between "Carolina Blue" (1880s) and "Keaney Blue" (1920s). :D

And comparing jerseys is not the best method, as often the jersey manufacturers have a limited set of hues to choose from. So the jerseys of URI and UNC could actually be the exact same color, even if the school colors are different.

How about "fonts" :P
in all seriousness; the term Keaney Blue was adopted long before Carolina Blue

You could barely tell the two teams apart in warm-ups at the NIT.

so if PC plays on Sunday it's at the Ryan Center, if it's Monday it will be at the dunk

There is zero need to have the game at the RC on Sunday. Crowd will fit in alumni.
No way more than 3k show up

I was actually surprised attendance was so low - ESPN / the AP's box had it at about 4,900. Was this season seen as a disappointment in Providence...? Given how they started, with all the injuries to key contributors, I figured the fan base would be relatively happy and pack the Dunk, similar to how Baron's first NIT year was a near sellout, if I recall correctly.

That has to be a bad number. I figured some where around 7K. BTW, Ryan Center is out. Game is Monday 7:00 at the Dunk

crowd was roughly 7k. PC did a poor job of communicating to season tix holders how to get tix. Office was understaffed. Probably kept another 1,000 away. Student turnout was putrid. Refs were disgusting. Tried to hand it to the 49ers. PC did just enough to win.

The official crowd was 4,953. I don't give any creedence to guesses.

Keep in mind that schools report the actual numbers to the NIT as I think a portion of revenue goes back to them. I think attendance numbers throughout the season are a bit inflated. What was reported as a crowd for 7k back in December may very well look and feel much like 5k for an NIT game in March. That would be because the number of persons physically in attendance was the same for both games. The only difference was in the reporting.

I didn't count every person; but I was there. Deff more than 5500.
Pretty sure there weren't 1500 no shows

Friars up 6 over Robert Morris at the Dunk with a minute to go in the game. Old friend, Tim Welsh, is there doing color for ESPN (game televised on ESPNews).
