Zek, Fou, Weston, Brown, Dubs, Stewart, Ray Allen III (as he was a walkon - does that count?)

Also, once I start seeing Kenny posting his brick images I'll be happy again.

I see it all as the more space we have the more money we have for new guys. Everyone in the portal as of now I feel are replaceable. That is the positive thing that there is plenty of talent out there..

I wouldn't mind if Duane reached out to this big from New Jersey.
Soph. (PF) Jerome Brewer Jr (6'9") transferring from Texas A&M/Commerce averaged 14 pts.
He scored 32 pts against McNeese State.

Not an impressive list of schools.

Mid major conference transfers are few and far between on that list.

Low mid majors I guess.

Almost all guards. Strange, since the majority of our remaining players/incoming recruits are guards.

I had all I could do to not respond who is on my team and who are we playing???? Didn't even check it out yet. This list does nothing for me. Someone please help me feel better about our direction...

For evidence look at last year for example.
Jaden House, had no knowledge before he visited we were involved w him
Luis Kortright, same thing until he visited
David Green, same thing til he visited
David Fuchs, same thing til we visited

Year Before that (Archie’s first offseason) examples:
The only two we knew were “involved” with before they committed or visited was B West and Foumena

One thing I’ve noticed about Archie’s portal strategy is he almost exclusively targets mid and low major talent looking to transfer, almost zero power conference transfers. Only Tchikou and Weston came from higher conferences. Obviously, those two didn’t work out but not much has in the first two years.

I’d like to see Archie pursue more high major castoffs. I think there can be diamonds in the rough who were just buried on loaded rosters or blocked by a veteran.

We also saw Cox try to bring in some high major castoffs to mixed results, but I would trust Archie to get more out of high major castoffs than Cox.

Ohio
Hofstra
North Dakota St

How good the team will do is up to the coaches.

Dalton Knecht came from Northern Colorado.
Talent is everywhere it’s about finding the profile that suits your desired identity.

It’s like some fans think we are going to get a productive power conference player to transfer down. I’m sure we are talking to power conference transfers too but anyone of that profile is going to have limited to no body of work and be a total guessing game.

Yup, in addition to the Alabama kids I listed above.

We’re not getting P5 kids averaging 12+ and 6 boards a game.

Just not happening.

I agree 15.

But we should be able to land a couple of transfers from mid major conferences at our level.

The biggest problem Archie will have, is trying to convince good players to come to a program that's been down in the dumps for a while now.

It's not just about money, at least I hope not.

The building a program angle like Dan did here, isnt very relevant anymore however. That meant signing and keeping guys for 3-4 years.

Those days are over for mid majors nowadays.

Ant Harris was a high-major player.

Alex was a high-major player.

Weston was a high-major player.

Max Ambas played at Oral Roberts and was one of Texas’s best players this season, or close to it.

Timberlake went from Hofstra to Kansas.

Aaron Estrada played at Hofstra; he’s now one of the better players on an Elite 8 team.

Grant Nelson played at North Dakota State.

Jalen Cook played at Tulane and dropped 15 points per game for LSU this year.

Wolf will be recruited heavily by high majors.

There are great players from low majors, so complaining about that is dumb to me. There are great players at all levels, even D2 players. The question is, can Archie land some? I think some of the players that we reached out to would make a strong impact on our team.

Two of those guys averaged over 20 points and several of them have high major offers. Total takes.

Safe to say they are after more than just those guys

We have 5 guards and 3 fromtcourt players, two of them being small forwards.

There's no way we aren't after any centers right now.

Pretty sure everyone on that list except 2-3 players are receiving high major interest. And the 2-3 guys without high major interest still have A10, AAC, and MWC schools after them.

And one of our SF’s is a true freshman. You would think we add at least 2 bigs, hopefully 1 is a rim protector.

I think we must have two more centers and hopefully they are 6'10+. Maybe one veteran like Federiko Federiko and a younger developmental guy. You can't just have Fuchs and one other true 5 man on the entire roster.

Need at least 1 wing. With a good wing you may not even need to get another SF like Green or Farrell since those positions are so similar. Farrell would essentially replace Weston and the Wing transfer replace Zek.

Not sure how they play it at guard.

Cam and Jaden play the same position.

3 PG's with Luis being someone who would do fine playing off the ball.

I think we'd all prefer a veteran true PG and make sure that new wing can really score the ball.

2 centers
1 wing/SF
1 PG

Not sure what they'd want to do with the 5th spot. Freshman guard?

How many from the DMV area? Zero. There are 6 from NY/NJ. Those would be Duane. 3 are from Illinois. Those would be one our midwest guys, Cunningham, Sander or Graves, suggesting one of them has been moved up to a recruiting position. One is from Mass...Austin. Then, 2 are from Florida and interestingly, 2 are from the state of Washington (who could that be?) My point being, since zero are from the DMW, it doesn't appear that Kenny is still working for us.
