That would have meant All American with probably a Sweet 16 appearance so yea, we all woulda felt pretty good.

For the insiders here that know our players be interested to know what our players think of this kid having practiced against him while he was here. Do they think he is Kentucky or Kansas worthy or do they think he is in over his head ??

Seems like the last time he played organized ball was about a year ago...he should commit early before he starts playing this season, as he can only go down in level of offers/interest from here. Strike while the iron is HOT!

If he turns out to be that good, this will raise some questions about our staff and why he left, IMO. Not that it already hasn't raised a lot of questions. Just strange...

For all the offers Mading has received it is surprising he hasn’t had one Official Visit at any of these schools.
Schools make 30-50 offers per class. They are limited to 16 Official Visits per class per year. Most schools have 8 or less Official Visits.

Not really. Just that he enrolled early and then transferred before playing.

I’m choosing to follow Mading’s recruitment like performance art- doesn’t really make sense, not sure I understand it, but let’s see where it takes us.

After seeing how much of a stud Toppin is I hope we can all move on from Mading. I wish him the best...

So he isn’t good enough to start for Chipola JC (started 4 out of 10 games) but he is good enough to receive a scholarship from a top P5 school. He has only started 1 of last 6 games and none of last 4.

Let me know when he has an Official Visit to a top P5 school.

Pretty easy to move on from Mading in my mind. A guy that has never looked good against top competition and barely contributes at a low level. Probably the most shocking thing in college basketball recruiting that all these schools recruited him the past 4 months

Obviously he’s never coming back. That’s not the point. People started posting in this thread like he was the One That Got Away when he started getting “offers” from Kansas and Florida, and some of us said the whole time that that was completely absurd and he would never end up at a place like that. So just pointing out that we were right, although I’ll go to my grave having no idea what that little run of offers was all about.

That was Chipola’s (JUCO) first game of the year.
Interesting to note he has only started 5 games and is shooting a 24% from 3.
