Just a hunch. Home game vs BU. If so, they will not be an easy out. They were down 22 to Holy Cross only to come back within 2 and fall short. First round is usually with visiting teams travelling short distances.

Compared to those 8 that need to be replaced, that is a good one. And yes, it will be a tough game, which is what we need, across the board. Hopefully being at home is the difference, that early in the season.

Good call.

I’d rather see us play BU than Harvard again. Let Umass play them

So, let's build a non conference schedule cherry-picking some of the teams from the NIT qualifiers, and additional teams that made the NCAAs:

Vermont (NCAA)
BU
South Dakota State (NCAA)
Florida
Princeton (NCAA)
Towson
Toledo (NCAA)
Albany

Tammie was not a good fit for Tammie or PC.

URI is the only A-10 representative in the WNIT Round of 16.

Will this round, against Harvard, be played at the Ryan?

It was announced leaving the Ryan Center tonight that the next game would be at either UMass or at Harvard.

I was under the impression that NIT games are played at the site of the higher bidder, and if that is the case, I’m wondering how the bidding process works. Must not be once each game is set, perhaps a bid for all postseason games Up front?

I heard in order to bid you have to provide two dates. URI could not provide two dates as there's a concert at the Ryan Center on Friday night and the game needs to happen either Thurs or Fri. So game is Thurs night, 7:00 p.m. at Harvard.

Next game is at Harvard Thursday night March 23 at 7pm

During the URI vs Boston University game (Richmond had already won) I asked a couple key people at the Ryan Center (assuming we won) where the URI-Richmond game would be played. I was told it was in the process of negotiation. I asked if they thought we might get a hind game? They said it's possible, they were pushing for that and had some things they were throwing in.
So it sounds a bit like a negotiation in some ways.
At any rate, by the time the game ended it was announced the next game with Richmond would be in the Ryan Center Monday night.

Good crowd on hand tonight. Too bad it's our last home game of the season.

Bleed Keaney Blue!
