So we didn't have a shot to land Ty Rodgers and Skillings. The "priority clearly shifted" on Chris Watson. Are we in the hunt for anyone that has some good programs going after them? I don't buy that the only way to get talent here is by the transfer portal. Then again I guess none of this matters until we see that Cox can improve his coaching ability.

Either we start getting good recruits and develop them, or continue getting transfers and complain that it takes time to gel. Which is it?

There was strong interest, our staff has been to many of his games.
Not sure now, been very quiet and haven't heard if he will take an official to Kingston.
I have a feeling his recruitment will heat up and he probably isn't ready to pull the trigger yet. He might end up being a spring signee.

Baron loved to sign kids in the late Spring - like in May when he would sign players you would have to search for info on. They were always described as under the radar, high potential types. Right.

Baron loved to sign kids in the late Spring - like in May when he would sign players you would have to search for info on. They were always described as under the radar, high potential types. Right.

Again it isn't like Cox is signing an entire class this spring.
Chance is already committed and Sebastian reclassified, enrolled this fall and redshirting.
Only 1 spot open so far. Yes it would of been nice to get one of those 4*, but it didn't happen.

Rhodyblue 12, not sure what you mean by only 2 bigs (implied).
If no transfers we have the twins, Samb, Ileri, and possibly Walker if he returns.
Also Martin can play the 3 or 4. Our entire frontcourt could be back, they would all have eligibility.

However, I do think Cox will add another big or wing with the additional scholarship. Brafford may fit the bill at 6'8"/6'9" who can shoot and also score in the paint.

I also think Makhi can play inside and out, stretching the floor a little. He was sorely missed last season.
Ish had the best 3pt% on the team last season at 42%
Cox had also mentioned that AB was our best outside threat, let's see what he is capable of in 22-23.

You can now say that about any player on any low to mid major.

But a good coach gets good players from other programs and retains players - look no further than Tammi Reiss.

It has been a little quiet lately on the '22 recruiting front.
We do have Chance committed and expected to sign in Nov.

We only have 1 open scholarship currently available, so I am not overly concerned.

We don’t have any scholarships or spots to sell the next 2 years since players were given an additional year. The expectation is that other than Shep and El-Amin, the team as constructed will be here for another 2 seasons. The staff is focused on filling up those guards spots. They got a early commitment from a big time shooter (Chance) who stock was starting to rise, and they are looking for another big 1/2 guard who can shoot (Prather). Other than that, the staff has plenty of time to make inroads with 23’ and 24’ kids, and Im pretty sure they have….you all think because Twitter didn’t say so, that the staff is just sitting on their hands, huh? …so naive.

It’s crazy how some folks are so entitled and short sighted they forget to to think before they type.
