Harvard at UMass, 12 Noon. On ESPN+. UMass is undefeated at Mullins so far,
The “Harvard at UMass” game is also being broadcast on NESN

At the Under-4 mark of the first half, Harvard was leading (Harvard 38, UMass 33), but UMass was on a comeback run, and came all the way back to take a one point lead at the half.

The halftime score was

UMass 43, Harvard 42

Noah Fernandes and TJ Weeks a combined 8-10 on threes for combined 29 points at half vs a tough Harvard team.

Umass plays no defense and just shoots 3s. They win when they hit over 45% of them, and lost when they don’t

I think more of Harvard being worse . Somehow they led by 17 and lost by 10 so more on the Crimson than UMass

Actually UMass will have some surprise wins in the A10, they aren't terrible.
The have good guards and plenty of depth there.

Loyola handed DePaul their first loss 68-64.
A future A10 team beating a BE team is a good thing, even if it is DePaul.

Agree. Within a few possessions of their game against Rhody, it seemed obvious they didn't have much of a ceiling.

Exactly that was my reasoning by taking them to beat Harvard today just by watching Harvard play against URI and without having seen any of UMass this year

Outstanding game between Alabama and Gonzaga, and they take a break to talk to their draft guy about the NBA draft. But why?!

A-10 went 6-6 on the day. The results of the three evening games were especially disappointing because Saint Louis, George Mason, and Duquesne led in their respective games most of the way, only to lose in the final minutes.

Richmond will have their hands full at Northern Iowa, who already beat the Bonnies.

If they lose, I can already hear "Fire Mooney" screams from the fans again.

Sunday's game between UCLA and Washington has been cancelled. Here are some details on that cancellation and its impact on NCAA record.

"UCLA's game scheduled for Sunday at Washington has been canceled due to COVID-19 issues in the Huskies' program, resulting in a Washington forfeit.

It's the first game cancellation to result in a forfeit this season.

Washington was also forced to postpone its Thursday game against Arizona, but the two teams agreed to reschedule it for Jan. 25. Pac-12 policy for this season states that the two programs must mutually decide on a date to play the postponed game; if the two teams cannot agree on a date, the team impacted by COVID-19 will forfeit the game.

UCLA will get a Pac-12 win for the game against Washington, while the Huskies will suffer a Pac-12 loss.

However, the NCAA views the game as a no-contest and it will not impact either team's overall win-loss record."

In a game just concluded, Maryland under an interim coach after the resignation of Mark Turgeon lost another game on its home court as the Terrapins fell to so-so Northwestern, 67-61.

Brown in a nice win over next Tuesday's URI opponent, Sacred Heart, 79-66. Brown is building a nice resume with only one bad loss, to Bryant.

It was so odd to me that Qudus Wahab transferred. He was being coached by one of the greatest big men still alive. He just went to the tournament and would have been their focal point. His production hasn’t been great at UMD and now he is in the middle of this. His story should be on the first page of the Transfer Portal homepage.

The guys that transferred in to Maryland are struggling. Morsell, who transferred out, is excelling at Marquette. I don’t think a center could have a better coach than Ewing, but I can see having doubts about the Georgetown program. With all the options he had, it doesn’t seem like Maryland was the most solid choice,

Yeah it does seem from the outside that he is skating in all of this.

He was a huge piece. Grass ain’t always greener.

Imagine Georgetown if Wahab and MacClung stayed.

Long term sure there are doubts about Georgetown. But if you are a 7 footer trying to get to the NBA was there a better mentor than Ewing? Have a great year this season as the focal point of the offense and then go pro. Just not sure what he was chasing at UMd.
