Not getting a lot of respect after losing to FGCU, deservedly so.

With loss of all the scoring and players, Ga St is no longer a cupcake. It's unbaked batter.

Not getting a lot of respect after losing to FGCU, deservedly so.

We were only favored by 4.5 points on the road and game went down to a last shot to win at the buzzer. Not the degree of disaster to me that most here see. Playing on the road is dangerous and the reason most P6 teams avoid Road Games like the plague. They will go to neutral and inter conference challenge games but not true road games. I think we learned a lot at Ft Myers as a team and coaching staff. Must win the A10 anyway for a bid.

As far as I am concerned it was a very bad loss. I feel we have a much more talented roster than FGCU.
Overall, I was very disappointed with our Florida trip and give us a D grade.

Yeah FGCU isn't a low major cupcake. They're good enough to compete for the middle of the A-10. They're a program that has had a lot of success since their sweet 16 run.

Doesn't excuse how we lost, but FGCU isn't horrible.

Agree. There is a reason we were only 4.5 point favorites. Tough loss, but on the road is tough.

Average coaching and we win the game easily after having a 13 or 14 point lead in the second half.

It was just the way we lost that was so maddening blowing 14 point lead with all those turnovers

They have struggled since Michael Fly got promoted to HC in 2018. Yes they had success under Enfield and Dooley but not lately, middle of the pack ASUN conference.

FGCU is not a mid level A10 team…

Will somebody pls tell them it is a 1-3-1 zone and the free throw line attack as in the last game is not the way to attack a 1-3-1

Aren't we? And they beat us. FGCU is better than GW, LA Salle, Fordham and the other bottom feeder A-10 teams. They are easily mid tier A-10 level.

Take any 3 players from URI's starting line-up and we should have beaten FGCU. The players quit.

I saw a team on par with GW, La Salle, and Fordham. We are a mid level A10 team which is why everyone can’t believe we lost to a team like FGCU. Honestly, I don't care. The bottom line is we are not good enough.

Georgia State looks very bad without their best players.

It's a different look this year than in past years. The Mitchels are high level players and would be on any team, really. After that, you have a bunch of players sprinting down the court and really doesn't appear to be any sort of plan, just wing it.

I would think we would have learned our lesson after FGCU beat us with 3s. Guard the 3 pt line and let’ take our chances near the basket with the Mitchell’s. Undermanned teams can beat us with 3s, not by contested 2s near the basket?

You think there is some sort of impassioned speech going on at the half right now? Guys! We won the first half, but now we have to win the most important half. Rah! Rah! Rah! or just... hey, we're up 6 points, just keep doing what you are doing, we should pull it out.

Right now, just like in Florida, the other team is thinking, we can beat these guys, we have two of our best guys out, but we are hanging with them, we just have to make a few key changes out there and we can exploit all of their weaknesses.
