Couldn't tell who TJ was working with - maybe Walker or Toppin? Looked like DC was there with JD in background.

Guessing Fatts was granted time off to go to Philly. He has been there since Weds at least. His IG had a bday party (think it was for his mother) and a graduation today.

His IG is "the_great_8_ish".
Not much IG posting on his visit. Just the Keaney Gym video.
Maybe a good trend. Wood didn't post until after his visit was over.
Staying low key - then get the verbal commit.

13 games played in Nike EYBL for Team Durant. They won their last 6 games to finish 9-4 in the D Division in a 4 way tie for first with Team Takeover, Expressions Elite and Team Why Not.
Leggett averaged 16.2 ppg
77% FT (69-90)
47% on 3FG (7-15)
Team Durant will be playing in the Peach Jam in July in South Carolina
Timberlake EYBL stats for comparison purposes

Love the FT shooting

Leggett's IG Story video in RC locker room.
A few of the players IG today was outside at Coast Guard House - thinking Ishmael was with them.
Beautiful weather for a OV - show him beaches, CGH and Newport of course. Nice day on campus also.

I don't get the comparison to JT. JT was a bona fide 4* top 100 guard. Sure Ish might turn into that, but right now he isn't.

Re: '20 DC SG - Ishmael Leggett (Offer)
Maybe he will be the next Jeff Dowtin. Jeff was ranked #273 as a recruit.
Leggitt had a really good Spring AAU. He plays on a very good Team Durant and has been a top three scorer in most of their games.
The top two players are ranked in the Top 100. Earl Timberlake Jr #33 and Darius Maddox #77.
Team Durant scoring leaders:
Earl Timberlake 17.9
Ismael Leggett 16.2
Darius Maddox 14.8
Ace Baldwin 6.1
So forget the rankings

Yes, you're right. DC Rams also said Leggett is ours if we want him. Are we still holding out hope for Miles? Or would we take Leggett's commitment now?

Re: '20 DC SG - Ishmael Leggett (Offer)
I think they would prefer Miles but DC Rams has stated several times that Miles and Leggett are the top priority (equally) and Cox would take the first one to commit.
I would think Rhody has to be considered the leader for Leggett even if he visits elsewhere. The tie with Dowtin and Cox to Leggitt, his coach and his mother couldn't be stronger.

Miles is a consensus 4* recruit. No way is he not our top prospect. Leggitt is like 230 something.Rhody83 wrote: ↑5 years agoI think they would prefer Miles but DC Rams has stated several times that Miles and Leggett are the top priority (equally) and Cox would take the first one to commit.

First, we need to get off of stars and rankings. Jeff Dowtin was #273 and Cyril was #326.theblueram wrote: ↑5 years agoMiles is a consensus 4* recruit. No way is he not our top prospect. The staff identifying their priority(ies) also depends on interest back from the player. Otherwise Earl Timberlake Jr (#33) would be our #1 prioiry right now (top ranked player that Rhody offered).
The reported competition for Miles is GTown, Seton Hall & Xavier.
The reported competition for Leggett is DePaul, USF, St Joe's & Richmond.
I posted what Leggett has done in Spring AAU. I am sure Cox has Leggett rated much higher than the recruiting services.
Leggett is the 2nd leader scorer at 16.2 ppg behind Timberlake on a very good Team Durant.
Because of the relationship that Cox has with Leggett and people influencing him, he has made Leggett a top priority along with Miles no matter what the rankings you are reading.

Re: '20 DC SG - Ishmael Leggett (Offer)
All fine and well 83. Just think the rankings certainly make a difference. Just my opinion. Because when the Projo says URI signs a recruit, 4*'s matter. In fact, most 4* recruits accomplish more than those who are not.Rhody83 wrote: ↑5 years agoFirst, we need to get off of stars and rankings. Re: '20 DC SG - Ishmael Leggett (Offer)
FWIW in terms of rankings, Leggett played on a high school team with Darius Maddox ( guard ranked in the top 75) and Casey Morsell ('19 a top 50 guard going to UVA) among other Div. 1 recruited players. It's easy to go under the radar with so many good players on your high school team. However, Maddox is rumored to be transferring to Oak Hill Academy and with Morsell graduating, Leggett will be a primary focus for his school team. If he has a good year he could be the type of kid that jumps a 100 spots his senior year with more visibility. You see this a lot with rising juniors on top prep and high school teams who are so deep. But at the end of the day rankings only mean so much, especially after the top 30-40 kids. The fact that he had such a strong AAU season on a very good team tells me the trajectory is going in the right direction and is far more important.

If Leggett really is ours if we want him, I have to assume after this visit we want him.
So why bother with more visits?

To back the Sr year projection, the Spring Leggett avg 16.2 ppg and Maddox avg 14.8.bkoeppen wrote: ↑5 years ago FWIW in terms of rankings, Leggett played on a high school team with Darius Maddox ( guard ranked in the top 75) and Casey Morsell ('19 a top 50 guard going to UVA) among other Div. 1 recruited players. I think that was the comment before he exploded this Spring. He may want to see what offers he gets after Summer and Peach Jam.rambone 78 wrote: ↑5 years ago If Leggett really is ours if we want him, I have to assume after this visit we want him.

I believe Rhody can get him if a P5 school doesn't get serious.
We have to remember a verbal commitment in the summer between Jr & Sr year is very early. Most early verbals come in Sept & Oct before the Nov signing period. So Leggett and Miles both have time. They could judge the interest level after the Summer AAU season. They might not finish visits until Sept/Oct.

You can believe if he becomes a 4 star and/or top 100, he'll get P5 interest.
So the longer it goes the less our chances imo anyway.

Two things I know, this kid is nothing like McLeod, and this kid is nothing like McLeod.reckless jake wrote: ↑5 years agoMe too... damn, I thought he pulled the trigger for a sec.
