So frustrating watching this team try to operate in the half court offense, it really is. Martin is a forgotten player in our offensive sets, if he's not getting a put back he's not scoring. Love the defensive effort and the work on the boards, the turnovers are just maddening.

And of course, I've seen two calls by the officials that I just cant understand.

Its going to be a roller coaster ride this season, buckle up everyone.

Sure looks like E.C. has heard all of the NBA talk and tried to live up to it by doing it all himself again. 3 on 2 on the fast break, didn't pass the ball once. This last possession, just dribbled and dribbled again and turned it over. He was great against Santa Clara because he found the open spaces and took what they gave him. Very disappointed in his play thus far tonight.

17-2 run over the last 10:00 of the half. We really can't score, but add 13 turnovers to the mix it is going to be hard to beat real teams. Still think we will win 16-19 games because there are wins to be had for this group in A10 play as constituted, but we won't do better than that unless we figure out a way to score.

I'm sick of this team trying to be deliberate with the ball every moment. Have to try and go fast to get a easy bucket in basketball.

Will ppl say that nba talk is getting to EC anytime he makes a mistake for the rest of his career here?? Still just 5 games into his role as the main piece.

This was the worst pile of shit half I can remember.
We're playing a nothing team, and we have 18 points.
This isn't Kentucky, folks!
THIRTEEEN turnovers. Four by Matthews.
Martin and Biruta invisible again.
Sloppy. Lousy Baronball offense. ZERO interior looks.
Pass the ball around the perimeter and take a crappy shot.
This is garbage. No pride. No intensity.
I hope Hurley burns their asses at halftime.
To make matters worse, Aaron Rodgers proves that he is the best in the game,
and the Pats lose.

Same old garbage offensively we have dealt with for years.. Horrible in the half court.. Again too many turnovers especially with 3 guards on the floor..E C needs a good talking to by the coach... Not ready for the NBA.. Concentrate on being a good college player... He definitely is not a point guard.. Hurley needs to figure out how to generate offense against zone because there will be a lot of it against them. Will we ever press?????????????

He's made a lot of mistakes so far this season. He was GREAT against Santa Clara because he DIDN'T try to take over the game all by himself. Like I said, he found open space and took what they gave him. He has pieces around him this year, use them! He doesn't have to be THE main guy, he can make himself and the team look better by utilizing guys in transition/working the ball around in the offense. Hope it improves, but through 5.5 games, it's only been in flashes.

Don't know if they said this on the tv but coach got a warning during the last few mins. To which he said a few times "oh yeah like I've been animated this whole time". Then when he had the ear of a different official dropped a series of F bombs about how horrendous the calls and his warning was.

Hope he fires up the team at half time, they are sleepwalking.

As I've said before, it's textbook basketball.
You put Gil at the high post and let the offense go through him.
He distributes to the open man, or goes down the lane and takes the shot.
Gil is a great passing big man.
I don't get why we can't attack a zone, when the blueprint is well know.
Hell, I remember Dave Gavitt doing it against us in 1967.
Also, the refs stink. Very one sided.
They stink almost as much as we do.
We're not playing ranked Kansas. We're playing ACC corpse GT.

I would, but I don't know him well enough, and telling him how to attack a zone might piss him off.

Better intensity, would love to see more scoring in transition (Gil to EC to Hassan I believe on that one bucket) to make up for our paltry half-court offense. Definitely love the energy in the 2nd half.

Our offense sucks because we have 2 wanna be point guards that are awful with their ball screen action. JT and EC don't make something happen after they slowly attack or go around the screen. After you get by that screen something is supposed to happen. A pass, a shot, a drive, a foul, something.

They just drop it in front of them like wannabe James hardens then pass it to the other guy to do the same thing.

TJ is the best at turning the corner after the screen. Insane.

2-1 and this tournament was a success. 1-2 with just a win over Santa Clara is a failure. Very flat performance today against a very mediocre team. Disappointing trip.
