Not really. Dan just mentioned that scheduling is harder than recruiting.

4pm on new year's eve? With Brown as the opponent during semester break? I would not expect a big crowd for that one.

A number of years ago we played Central Connecticut on New Year's Eve, I think either 5 or six o'clock. I showed up with my wife promising her dinner reservations at Spain. Certainly not an overwhelming crowd.

I know scheduling is much more difficult than it appears to us from the outside, but we seem to have several highly questionable dates/times for home games every season.

We played Boston College (when they were good with Jared Dudley) to a crowd of 7000+ on new years eve once, but you need the right opponent to make it work.

It also wasn't a 4pm start time. I think it was a noon-2pm start allowing people plenty of time to get back home for night plans.

I almost doubt we will ever see a Rhody / Pee-C weekend game ever again. I do remember the Dec '03 game walking over to the Ryan Center from my dorm for that Sat night game after the huge snow storm we had. Even after the Thursday game we had this year, I had no voice the next day.

I always figured that it makes more sense to put PC vs. URI on a weekday since it's a guaranteed sellout on a non-weekend day. For similar reasons, it makes sense to have the yearly Pink-Out game against a team like Fordham, instead of Xavier - try to boost up a day that might normally have some sagging attendance.

I just look at a weekend game is fans can have more time to meet fellow fans/friends pre and post game without having to worry about going to work the next day. For example: Saturday night game at the dunk, URI alum informal gathering at a place like luxe burger, then after the game at another PVD bar. I think you're missing the debauchery statement from earlier

That Johnson and Wales game is interesting. Over the past few years both JWU and RIC have been strong D3 teams, although that may change with RIC's coach leaving for Maine.

For a school like Brown playing a non D1 means nothing. The only path to the NCAA Tournament is through winning the Ivy. An at large is not realistic.

URI96. Are you referring to Lincoln or Nebraska's old arena? Because NU plays in a new arena in downtown Lincoln and it is a beauty.

Now if this is true here is a comparison shot of the arenas with the new arena on top and the old arena on the bottom.

If it's 11/22, hopefully that would be our last game before we head down to Orlando and play on 11/27. Would be too much to fit another one in there and then play 3 in 4 days. 5 days would be a good rest before the tournament.

Pretty sure it was the old place. It was Baron's last year that we played there. The whole city is a dump. It makes Worcester or Springfield look nice. I would rather go to Gitmo than back there.

I doubt you were able to take in every part of the city but im sorry to hear you think our city is a dump. I would think the city has made enormous strides since the teams have last played. I would encourage you to make the trip again as by your expectations the city should be more around a recycling center range then a dump now.

Glad to see the Nebraska game on a Saturday before Thanksgiving. Students will be on campus. Also, the game will probably be in the evening. The football teams last game of the season is that afternoon at Meade. Marketing should try to play into that. For me, it's a big time doubleheader!

In a very early pre-season poll, Nebraska was picked to finish second behind Wisconsin in the Big Ten 2014-15 race. Their outstanding junior forward 6-6 Terran Petteway was again picked to make the Big Ten first team. Guard/Forward 6-7 Shavon Shields was picked for the third team. The Rams will get a great test in a prep for the Orlando tourney.
