I'm beginning to question my negative opinion of Gil. He can't be as bad as he has been and not be injured. He had that ankle sprain early in the season and I wonder what lingering impact that has had on his play. His lack of movement is consistent with an ankle sprain. He doesn't look badly out of shape. A year off should have given his body time to mature which is oftentimes an issue with big men. I find it hard to believe that he was overrated at Rutgers two years ago. Does he have a bad wheel and is playing through it?

What throws me about Gil is, I've seen him do amazing
things, in H-O-R-S-E games and practices.
He could do more things with the ball and make moves that even the
guards couldn't duplicate.
So, where did all that go? Maybe he is hurt, and playing through it.
Some injuries just linger.
The other issue I have with Gil is, some of the dumb fouls he gets,
which don't show much court awareness. Fouling a 6' guard 30 feet from the basket.
Why? Or any fouls away from the basket, for that matter.

I have seen a guy with a plethora of offensive moves, a nose for the ball, and a nice finish around the rim. I have also seen a guy who looks lost on defense, commits rookie fouls, and does not appear to have much of a leadership/presence on this team. It's an anomaly. Prior to the last 2 he had a stretch of 6 games with 14 and 8. I think we all would be happy with that night in and night out. But his play is so inconsistent.

Interesting to see what Hassan does in this game. His athleticism should be neutralized against a team with guys just as athletic. While he still isn't a guy on the offensive end we can go-to, it would be nice to have a set or two that frees him for something inside. He is the ultimate lob guy yet we havent thrown him 1 all year, if Tyson Wheeler was on this team Hassy would be averaging 10 pts on alley oops alone.

BAR, agree on both posts.
I've been saying that there's zero plays for
Martin in the system.
He's supposed to score on pure garbage rebounds, I guess.
He did try a couple of 3's the other night vs. Brown.
If he makes one now and then, it'll force his defender to
play him differently.

Big difference watching on a HD TV and watching on a computer screen.

14 point underdog today. I am not expecting a win, but in college basketball you never know. They can't get down early as they usually do or on the road this one will be over quickly.Regarding Aaman i think it is very unfair to speculate at all about what happened and what he did to end up injured. And what is the point anyway. We may find out the facts some time in the future, so I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about his actions. Hope he can come back very soon. He is no doubt an asset on the floor for a team that is short in the front court

Agree. Wasted chances for points drive me crazier than I care to admit. We don't have the type of team that can throw away high percentage scoring opportunities.
