Amazing......
Can the Giants (3-7) really make the playoffs?
4 teams with (6-3) records will make things tough, but how knows?

NOV 29 @ Cincinnati (2-6)
DEC 6 @ Seattle (6-3)
DEC 13 Arizona (6-3)
DEC 20 Cleveland (6-3)
DEC 27 @ Baltimore (6-3)
JAN 3 Dallas (2-7)

Actually, you can. Because...Romo.... (my brother is a Dallas fan and says he still gets blamed for everything...we both love his commercials and think he's an entertaining commentator). Also, I think Dalton is getting ready to play...so there's that...

This is the deepest into the season that the Jints have been in contention for a playoff berth since 2016.
Week 11 and I'm still interested for the 1st time since 2016...

So here's a question, would you rather have the Giants get in with a bad record and have the 19th pick in the draft knowing there is basically a 0% chance of advancing, or finishing with those 4-5 wins and having a top 10 pick to continue to improve the team?

For me...that's easy...give me a shot at the tourney. I am still interested in watching them and it's Week 11.
Fortunately, the weather's been good...and they haven't been on every week, so I have not HAD to...but, hey, I'm actually somewhat interested still.
Give me some playoffs...will be crazy.

They were 9-7 when they won SB XLVI, so I agree. Get in the playoffs and it's really anybody's game.

Losing Jones will cost them any chance of making the playoffs.

Still nice that they have started to turn things around....the future does look brighter. Defense is legit.

Yesterday's game was almost an L though.....that would have been an "oh crap same old Giants".

They are starting to win the close ones, and that's a good sign.

They're 4-7 in a historically bad division, and beat the worst team of 2019 by two, even though said team was without its starting quarterback. Like, they'd probably be in fourth place in any other division in football.

Sounds bad but as a QB, will a hamstring knock him out for the season?

The RJ projections only required 1 win out of the next 4 games to still be in a power position in the division.

Obviously other upsets could change that, but I don't think anyone thought they were going into Seattle and winning anyway, so missing at least one week will not be a major issue.

Agree. And I don't k now that - in this division - you even need a Daniel Jones to win it.

Even with the slide Seattle is in, that's a legitimately nice win for the Giants. I'm still not completely sold on them, but after seeing what the Eagles have allowed Wentz to morph into - David Carr 2.0 - I think the Giants have to be the favorite to take the division. And while I think there is zero chance they can win the Super Bowl, they take enough chances that they could win their opening round playoff game. (Whoever they end up against, I think would still be heavy favorites, but it wouldn't be an impossible task.)

Also - Yesterday was just a bizarre day of results for the NFL. The Pats beat the absolute piss out of the Chargers, even though they didn't have a rusher for 100 yards or Newton putting up some huge day. Somehow, the Chargers didn't fire Lynn the second the plane landed. That Jets-Oakland game was wild, and there were just a bunch of shitty teams (Broncos, Bengals) besides them that hung around for way longer than you'd think against "good" playoff teams.

Cue Jim Mora..."Super Bowl?!? Super Bowl??? I'm just trying to get in the frikkn tournament!!"

Should the Stillers hold on tonight...the Gmen will essentially have a two game lead in the division (they win the tiebreaker with Washington) with a 5-7 record. Absolute worst case scenario aren't they at least in it until their last game? They have a 2 game lead after this week...lose the next two they'd be tied?...lose the following week...1 game out (still in it)?...Final week...still a chance (probably)?

Reality check for the Giants.

Not good enough, not even close.

I think Washington will win the division, not that it matters. Good defense, veteran turnover free leader at QB.

Still like the future, as long as Gettleman doesn't screw it up.

Washington will win the division, and won't be an easy out in the playoffs.

Giants are a year or 2 away, unfortunately.

This offseason is huge for them.

Jones doesn't have to be a superstar for the Giants to be successful.

Just need more talent on offense especially the O line.

Judge has said recently he wasn't concerned about the playoffs.

By playing Jones before he's ready, that's determined to be a lie.

I just hope that he's right about Jones being their QB of the future.

Also heard that Gettleman might be on the way out.

I hope so. He's made way too many mistakes up to this point. Not all, but most of his moves haven't worked out.

If Alex Smith can't play next week, Washington is toast.

If that happens the Giants had better find a way to beat the Cowboys.
