The joy I am getting from seeing Friars fans blame the refs is indescribable.

10-21 FTs vs 20-23 FTs, about as even as it gets.

Remember the days of everyone around here talking about how Cooley somehow magically makes his players better free throw shooters or makes them practice them more and Hurley doesn't or whatever. I guess they stopped doing that!

The reason you won the game is you were the tougher team in the first half. Cooley's teams usually do not get out toughed Yes hitting the foul shots always helps too. Congratulations .

And they're blaming turnovers. This isn't tennis, these are not unforced errors. Defense and intense defense.

Finally a game where one of our major reasons we won was because of our performance of the free-throw line. Jared and Stan didn’t shoot well from the field but they were great from the line.

Whatever happened between Stan and PC players at that concert was certainly part of the on court banter. He seemed to enjoy this win as much as us fans. Clearly he was playing with a chip.

I'm sure all this has been mentioned but:

Jarvis and Fatts were obvious heroes. There was the Jarvis from a couple years ago!
JT and SR especially played their asses off on Defense and rebounding, especially Stan. He hung in there with Bullock all game, and sacrificed his offense to do so. Dowtin was solid too.
Everybody around me was screaming to bench Berry, but he had two key buckets in the second half to slow the PC run.
We had a serious home court advantage tonight. What an atmosphere!
Maybe everyone can chill a little bit on the hate for the PC players and Cooley. They're a good team with a good coach.

Awesome win, Fatts is incredible! I wasn't sure if the Brown game was just a one time thing but he looks like the real deal.

Only complaint I have about this game is I thought the student section was awful, down right embarrassing.

Fatts is going to have an amazing career in Rhody blue.....

I think I said earlier that if URI was going to win, he would be the difference.

A freshmen no less. Fearless. He's good at basketball lol.....

Kudos to Berry and Jarvis too. And the FT shooting.

I sat in 314 right next to the student section so I'll give you a few reasons based on what I saw.

1. During the national anthem one student yelled "Fuck PC" three times during the national anthem. For a fanbase who loves to take shots at other teams for having no class that's about as classless as you can get.

2. Many times during the course of the game the students in the 300s were chanting something different than the students in the 200s.

3. As soon as PC went on a run during the first half the student section went quiet until we scored some baskets to pull ourselves back.

4. Literally all the students have to do is yell and make noise when the opposing team has the ball. Don't worry about chanting defense or URI, just yell "AHHHHH" (that may not be proper spelling for the sound) when the opposing team has the ball. During the course of the game students in the 300s very rarely made noise except for the occasional defense or URI chant, maybe I couldn't hear students in the lower sections.

Watch an ACC or Big 10 game and listen to the student section, it's completely different than our students. Cheering at a basketball game is not rocket science, it's pretty damn simple yet I feel like our students haven't grasped the concept yet.

Winning plays and winning players are starting to become a cliche, but Fatts up faking and drawing a three shot foul then draining all three when they tide was turning their way was so clutch. A winning player making the play of the game as a freshman
