6’7” 255. Big boy, right there. I wouldn’t want to run into him on a pick.
If he runs well he’d make a nice tight end after he’s done with bb.

Looking at some of the box scores of Traore. This is one from March of this year. Looks like he was in foul trouble as he had 4 fouls in 22 minutes. But in those 22 minutes, he had 23 points and 14 rebounds. Impressive!

Re: General High School Recruiting Discussion/Comments 2022-23
Is the staff thinking Nwafor reclassifies to ‘23 and Traore signs for two seasons therefore, having them both here together for one year (before Traore graduates)? Or, is it possible another scholly is expected to open up due to someone leaving?

Re: General High School Recruiting Discussion/Comments 2022-23
I think that's a safe assumption, yeah. Nwafor could reclassify, plus, all of our frontcourt is untested in D-I basketball. There's gonna be some churn.
I should have some time today, so I'll search for / create a thread for Traore.

I believe he played at Chipola College last year, or at least the beginning of the season. His name doesn't show up in box scores after mid-season. He had very little PT. The box score from your link is Allen County. I think it was from 20-21. The various videos show he likes to attack the rim, both on offense and defense. I didn't see any jump shots at all.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑2 years ago Looking at some of the box scores of Traore. This is one from March of this year. My bad. He does play throughout the season, but not much in close games. Not a major player off the bench. They played a 36 game season.Jersey77 wrote: ↑2 years agoPlayed in 20 games for Chipola 21-22.RJRam wrote: ↑2 years agoI believe he played at Chipola College last year, or at least the beginning of the season. If so and he does enroll at least he will give us another strong body in the paint.
I wouldn't expect a big impact or much offensive contribution from him.

I guess it's apparent that KC will enroll in the fall 23.
Wouldn't be surprised if he redshirts for 23-24.
Much to the surprise of several posters here, it appears that Archie is looking to fill all the slots for 22-23.

But it certainly seems like his intention is to fill all the slots.
He did say he may recruit until September, but obviously that is only if a spot is available for 22-23.

3 guys have been added who will likely start in the backcourt. This pushed Leggett, Thomas and Carey down the playing time ladder.
We will see.

We don't know at this point, but I wouldn't immediately kick both Carey and Ish to the curb at this time.ramster wrote: ↑2 years agoObviously

Archie has said some really good and positive things about both of them.
Many are very high on Carey and think he will have a breakout season 22-23.

All I’m saying is we are in a new era of college basketball. Players traditionally added in April and May have predominately been roster fillers - 12th, 13th guys.Jersey77 wrote: ↑2 years agoWe don't know at this point, but I wouldn't immediately kick both Carey and Ish to the curb at this time.

Now we have 3 transfers who are odds on favorites to be the starting backcourt - added in the same period that used to be late roster, end-of-bench guys. Starters never had to worry or be concerned about playing time with late roster fills.
Not saying who will leave, but as I’ve said before, I do not believe this current roster of 13 will not be what we see November 1.
It’s a different world. Recruiting until September for 2022-2023 said the new HC. And I’m all for that - continuous upgrading.

We were bad last year, so we could add a guy on Sept. 1, and I wouldn't necessarily rule out that he plays for us this year.

Bryant has consistently offered a trillion kids the first day they're able to.
Teams do this to get their name/program free pub, make/keep coaching connections, brand connections, etc etc.
Cunningham, with 20K followers on Instagram and 1K on Twitter (seems to be a new account), posted Bryant's logo on his accounts. That leads to free press, with people probably searching for the school.
Take a look at Verbal Commits on twitter and you'll see Bryant's logo plastered on multiple posts from kids.

I agree, Ramfan. More time for us to watch, evaluate, speculate and project, too.
I like looking for common traits in the players to try to gauge what Archie and staff are thinking. Good stuff.
