Agree with that Billyboy, not many guards playing any better than him right now. 22 ppg and 53% from the field. Efficiency thru the roof.

3 that will be a part of Rhody BB history for years.

The game winner by JT is one of the best crunch time plays in Rhode Island Ram history IMO.

Spectacular!

Possibly, but they let Seton Hall get away with a more egregious one about five minutes before. The refs let both sides go and tried to stay out of it, especially our last offensive possession

Ball cleared the rim, not considered for goaltending once the ball is completely in the net.

From a NJ/NY perspective

Kevin seems like a good enough guy, but I’m not mad about this at all-

Give Ryan Preston a few more games.. Athleticism is apparent.. He is not here to be an offensive force.. He is here to do the dirty work.. 15 minutes a night of tough D and some rebounding is all we need from him.. Let's hope he is able to be successful.. Very important to the success of this season.

Agree with this. I think Preston shows the athleticism we need out of him. If he can just start hitting open 10 footers which we know he is capable we will be that much better

I’m beating the drum for Preston to be this year’s X factor like Kuran was last year. Different players, but the added dimension on defense we get from his athleticism is necessary against the top flight opponents.

Preston did well!
Delgado definitely isn't 6'10 either.

Need Preston to hit SOME of the layups and short range jumpers. They will come soon, we hope.

Preston has shown the ability to knock down mid range jumpers, just didn’t hit any last night. He seems more comfortable / looks more fluid shooting mid range than he does up close.

Isn't that exactly what happened with Marcus Smart a week or so ago? They took away the hoop in that case.

Agree ATP and hoping that will come.
6 points and 6 rebounds a night from him would make a world of difference. Dunks, put backs, short range J’s and some stout defense would make us very tough.

I haven't seen any evidence that Ryan can be any kind of offensive force in the future, but I do like his intensity on defense.

He shoots that corner pocket 12 footer. Seems like that is his go-to and the team recognizes that too.

I’m gonna be honest, my b hole got real tight when I saw Stan touch it.

One thing that I haven’t seen here was Danny’s coaching on Delgado.

All game I heard Danny yelling “left side left side” and it was him telling Berry or Layssard or Preston that they needed to guard Delgados left side. He had one post move, right hand over the left shoulder.

Phenomenal job of scouting and coaching to keep Angel relatively in check. Hell of a game changing find.

And even though Delgado got 18 pts and 14 rebounds, his 6 turnovers hurt Seton Hall. Most all of his TO’s were a credit to our defense. Solid coaching plan.

I’m really surprised he could figure that out without some old coach on the bench to help him. ;)

Can't argue with this game planning and drawn up final shot. Job well done all round.

here is the official rule (according to my question on google :). I think we can all rest easy. there will be no "they got lucky...the ref blew the call". the key part (as was previously noted) is "imaginary cylinder that exists above the rim". JT's shot was clearly and completely past the rim when Stan touched the net.

What about basket interference?

"A violation called while a player (a) touches the ball or any part of the basket while the ball is within the imaginary cylinder that exists above the rim, (b) touches the ball while reaching up through the rim from below, or (c ) hangs on or yanks down the rim or the net while the ball is being shot. When the violation is called on a defensive player, the shooter is awarded the field goal. When the violation is called on an offensive player, the field goal is disallowed."

It will be interesting to see once EC’s back if we have any close games who takes the final shot. I know it’s been talked about on here before that EC isn’t very clutch so I would hope any play drawn up at the end of games going forward is for Terrell.

Slightly outdated rankings here (6 days ago) but ESPN was looking to move Seton Hall into the top 10 of their power rankings after the NIT tournament. Can't understate how huge of a win this was for Rhody
