Mara is NOT happy.

My guess is his patience is wearing thin.

Expect changes to be made.

The Giants hierarchy usually takes their time before they make changes.

Might have to rethink that.

Bone. You need to come over to the good side. Like most Providence residents in the early sixties I rooted for the Giants, but when you can't beat a bad Jets team..........

I always root for the Giants....thru bad times and good.

Not a fair weather fan at the least.

But just like for URI hoops, I call things as I see them.

Might not be pretty...but hell not a lot is pretty nowadays.

Just seems like the entire operation is rudderless...and what makes it worse, is there doesn't seem to be much to be optimistic about....Jones has major potential, and we know about Barkley, but the way they are getting beat up, they might not last long enough to see any results.

Thanks. This season is toast though....

If they don't address the offensive and defensive lines in next season's draft, then the entire front office should be fired pronto.

They have enough skill position talent.

When the Giants have been good, they run the ball and defend well on the defensive line and linebackers.

Take the pressure off the QB.

When will they figure this out?

Hey 208, hearing rumors that Jason Garrett is a candidate for the Giant's HC job if Shurmur is canned.

Didn’t Garrett play QB for giants in the early 2000s ??

You want him as your head coach ??

If Garrett can't win with the talent that team has, just imagine what he'll do with the no talent Giants.

If [when] he's fired after this season.....hire McCarthy or someone with a pulse.

I mean the Giants....I doubt Shurmur will survive this season either.

I'm sure Mara is happy that his team is 2nd best in NY right now....and it might not be close.

Ahhh....maybe 2nd best in NJ...but if you count them and the Jets as NY, I'd put both of them behind the Bills. So, 3rd?

The Packers aren't a very good road team....but this is the Giants they're playing.

Aaron Rodgers will get well playing this game. Everybody throws for big yards against the G men.

P.S. G stands for Godawful...…

The Giants need to lose out and get the 2nd pick...and hope the Bungals pick a QB, so they can get Chase Young, that monster DE from Ohio State.

Of course Gettleman will probably screw that up too.

Giants are going for the 1st pick of the draft baby!

Only one more win by the Bengals and they will be tied for it....only 2 win team left.

Worst pass defense in the NFL, and it's not close. And the offensive line is truly offensive.

I hope they get him.

But, their schedule isn't the strongest the last 4 weeks.

They have the Eagles twice [of course they never beat them, but Philly is sucking right now] and Miami and Washington.

Both are improving though, which the Giants aren't, so maybe there's hope they can go 0 for 4......

Re: NY Giants

Reef, the Giants are notoriously slow on the trigger when it comes to front office and coaching changes.

I don't know if Shurmur is head coach material. His team lacks talent in many key areas, but sure signs of a badly coached team are making too many mistakes/turnovers, mental errors, dumb penalties and the like. And the Giants are making a boatload of them.

Some of those can be directly blamed on assistants, but the head coach is responsible for the entire deal.

I think he'll likely be given another year, but if Gettlemen doesn't bring in enough talent to fill a lot of the holes, and they don't improve much next season, I think they both go, and here we go again with another rebuild.

I wouldn't mind Harbaugh getting the job, but I doubt he's interested. You never know though, with all of the flak he's getting for not being able to beat or even come close to beating Ohio State, he just might decide to make the move if offered.

Believe it or not, Eli's record as a starter is now 114-114...with all of the losing over the last few years.

Some are joking that this game is for the Hall of Fame.....a losing record won't get him in.

I don't agree with that, I think he'll get in....but Sunday he's likely to get sacked 52 times and the Giants lose again...they never beat the Eagles even when the Eagles stink...like this year.

Wrong. The one thing this team excels at is being bad at tanking. Take a nap beforehand, going to be a late one Monday night -> Giants win.

They got it done....tanking that is....if you can't even make a field goal in the entire 2nd half...…

Need to get Chase Young......2-14 please.

The Eagles aren't much better...what a shit show the NFC Least is.

Shurmur should go....even with a talent challenged defense, they collapse almost every 2nd half....same for the offense.

Opponents make the right adjustments at half, and he doesn't.

Feel bad for Eli though...he deserves better.

A QB that has a record near .500 doesn't deserve to be in the HOF. Two games (out of some 229) don't define a career which is what the HOF honors.

His postseason record 8-4 [or 8-3?] with 2 SB wins and MVP's, along with his total passing yards and TD's will get him in....and another big factor is playing his entire career in NY. Well NJ, but you get the point.

So basically you are saying he should be in the HOF for just showing up for the important games. All the others don't matter?

Ordinarily I would think the Giants have the 2nd pick in the draft locked up.

But good grief, even as bad as they are, you would think they might win at least one more game....playing the Dolphins, Skins, and Eagles again at home.

Eli starts again, trying to get his career W-L record back to .500.

If they win today, they won't get the 2nd pick. Talk about screwing things up!

As 208 said, the Giants are bad at everything, including tanking.

Even last week, they should have won that game, but then they remembered who they are, and gave the game away.

Good to see Eli get the win.

Next week is big.

It's the "playing for Chase Young Bowl". 2nd pick in the draft.

Win it by losing. The Redskins and Haskins are playing better.

Who wants it less?

Forget Dallas versus Philly today....THE game is Giants/Redskins!

The Chase Young 2nd draft pick Sweepstakes will likely be decided today!

I never.....well almost never root against the Giants....but today I will.

Which means they will win. And end up behind a couple other teams and likely pick 5th.....

They've worked too hard to have this happen!
