Not a player but a coach: I'm watching The Last Dance (the jordan doc from ESPN that's now on Netflix) and Brendan Malone is interviewed talking about the Pistons and containing Jordan.

I don't know why but it appears that former Ram and Philly native Horace "Pappy" Owens (Class of 83) appears to no longer be on the LaSalle Men's Basketball staff.

No idea if I am linking this properly, but Jimmy Baron JR posted a free throw shooting breakdown. Since Rhody72 gave him some profound free throw shooting advice, and helped reconstruct Jimmy's form, he has only missed 62 free throws over the last 11 years!

So happy for him!

Not a lot of better places to be than Sweden!

The nicest and most beautiful people. Gorgeous landscapes and architecture. Great place to start his professional career!

Better enjoy it. Might end up in Turkey where they sacrifice goats in front of you.

Not gonna be a lot of daylight for him this winter..

Most sunny city in Sweden and they get an average of only 21" of precip per year. Avg high and low temps in F monthly from November to March: 34/25.9, 29.8/19.9, 26.2/15.4, 27.5/16.7, 34.5/21.9. Yikes.

Most sunny when there's sun maybe. Otherwise he's only getting around 4 hours of sunlight starting in December.

Come the summer there there's no night time!

When I was in Stockholm in the summer of 2017 I could still see the sun at midnight. And then the sun would come up fully around 3am. Veeery disorienting, but cool!

I have always said you don’t retire numbers you put up banners of the players name, number, years, maybe nit or ncaa logos, and a couple stats.

That’s how u build a program. By names you dont have to retire numbers so they can never be used again.

Let people come into the Ryan and see history of the program.

We have that bare wall below the main scoreboard that usually has a temporary banner on it, but why not post "ring of honor" plaques there? Seems like the best place since we are short on other wall space that isn't way up even with the rafters.

Jim Harrick and URI heavily recruited 7’ Jabari Smith but then Harrick went to Georgia. Smith went to LSU and then the NBA.

His son, Jabari Jr, is Nationally Ranked #5 on ESPN, #4 On 247. Declares tomorrow, Friday.

Heck of a highlight film of Cox dunking and blocking shots at VCU. Several of the highlights were against our Rhody Rams.

In Week 2 of the 2020 season, Alie-Cox caught five passes for 111 yards against the Vikings. He thought to himself in the locker room afterward, "Did I really just have a 100-yard game in the NFL? I honestly never thought that would happen."
Since Week 2, Alie-Cox's role has fluctuated depending on the health of other tight ends Jack Doyle and Trey Burton. But Alie-Cox has grabbed a couple touchdowns in 2020, and he continues to be a dangerous target in the red zone. After all, a great college basketball shot-blocker ought to be able to time a leap and get his hands on a ball, whether on a court or the gridiron.

Nice job by Mo, but he has a long way to duplicate the efforts of Kent State BB forward turned tight end, Antonio Gates, who was selected an All Pro five times in his 14 year NFL career. Besides Mo never turned in a performance against URI like Antonio Gate had against the Rams in the first season in Ryan in 2002. In that game Gates poured in 25 points, 23 of them in the second half. I witnessed that game and was mesmerized by Gates who handled the ball with the grace of a point guard in a 6' 4" frame.
