In today's ProJo, Bill Koch grades the State's four D1 WBB teams and URI got the worst grade at "c".

Hyman still out for St Louis today
Debroise starting at PG. Davis has moved to wing.
Dutat, Phillips and Toure round out the starting 5.
Hearing Hyman is not expected back until towards the end of the month

Davis 3-3 on 3Pโ€™s already. She looks much more relaxed playing the wing. Doesnโ€™t require the pressure to bring the ball up the floor and distribute. Vital now in for Debroise with Davis still playing wing.

Rhody had 10 point lead but St. Louis whittles it down to 2, 45-43 @ 4:55 in Q3. Kennedy leading all scorers with 22.

Good news: Rhody outrebounding St. LOUIS 28 to 20, and has 20 assists. Balanced scoring with 3 starters and 1 bench player in double figures.

Bad news: Rhody has 21 (!) turnovers.

68-65 Rhody @ 4:43 Q4.

Definitely has been disappointing, didn't expect to lose this one.
Now 7-6, not looking good for a top 4 A10.

No other way to put it - they choked, AT HOME.

Up 68-60 @ 5:51
Up 71-65 @ 3:54
Up 71-70 @ 1:45

They were outscored 16-5 in last 5:50 of the game. That is inexcusable - even without Hyman they had to win this game.

Team has been a big disappointment from the very beginning. The fact that expectations were high for this team makes the lackluster performance all the more troubling. This team is clearly retrogressing!

Dolly Cairns is not walking through that door!
When I reread this puff piece from last spring on Dolly Cairns leaving the program, I cringe.

Every player should know that, no matter what a school "says"...what they actually mean is, "once you get here, we will constantly be looking to bring in someone better than you, to replace you"

And sometimes they bring in someone they think will be better and it doesn't work out quite the way they thought it would

Good first quarter as Rhkdy leads Davidson 17-14. Unfortunately Toure went down on last play of the quarter with what looks like an ankle injury. Also two early folks on Dutat who's had to sit since 3 minute mark .

32-29 Rhody at the half. Shooting 46.4% with only 5 turnovers. Toure and Davis with 9, Magassa with 6, Phillips with 5.

Teisha Hyman is still out.
Any idea of her status and will she be available for the A10T?

During pre-game, she was shooting around, jogging, moving pretty good. Only thing, she was doing this with the boot still on. Not sure that's a great idea. But she looks to back pretty soon, I think.

Not much worth posting this season. Just another loss - at least this time to a team as good as we were supposed to be. St. Joesis now 25-3. We're 17-12, 9-7 in A10, stuck in 6th place.

Teams are bunched up at the top.
Quite a few quality teams this season in the A10.

Down 14 at the half. I don't care that we got more athletic this year. We don't have any shooters. We are 0-10 from three. Sophie can't get any clean looks since she is the only decent shooter we have.

6.7% from 3. Poor Sophie Phillips had yet another Golden Sombrero 0-8. Our 3 freshmen each played 1 minute and scored 2 points. Tammi had her worst season ever as a coach. Not at all what we expected.

Surprising that VCU was picked 10th pre-season, now beating us by double-digits in the RC.
Interesting turn of events.
