I believe that Archie will coach up the three new recruits and get the most out of their talent. Archie. is in a tough recruiting situations. Much will depend upon Kenny, Duane and Austin.

Arch is Arch, which automatically means, not that tough.

So are you saying “terrifying” in 2023-24 or 2024-25?

With kids leaving teams all over college basketball with the frequency of "traffic and weather on the 8's," I don't know how anybody can predict 2 years from now never mind 2 weeks from now.

Fair. I’m choosing to believe they stay - but agreed, tough to gauge now.

That said, IF, they stay, Bray and Ish as seniors, with Lou, Rory, and Foumena as juniors gives me second weekend vibes.

Obviously that means nothing, no one’s played college yada yada yada. It’s the off-season. Let’s believe.

2 scholly’s left after adding Josaphat. Do we fill one more?

Like some others have offered, I wouldn’t mind adding a grad big for a year.

I wonder what Archie and the staff are thinking?

Archie talks about growing as a team from year to year and getting "old". That '24-'25 team will be loaded with juniors and seniors who will have been playing together for 3 years. Not to look too far ahead, but that team could be special.

It’s interesting in Archie’s official announcement “Miller Adds Seven to Roster for 2022-23 Season” that KC isn’t included.
He is going to reclassify to ‘23.

Archie can't mention or announce KC because he hasn't signed.

Early signing period for him is in Nov, he may graduate in Dec and be with the team 2nd semester.

I believe that decision is still up in the air.

"Would" - some times you've really got all your pitches working (like this one) and other times you give up 8 runs in the 1st...is it just an effort thing with you? Where sometimes your heart just isn't into it on that particular day?

Pretty cool that 11 guys could play together for 3 years if the team stays together.

New age. There will never again be 11 guys that stay together for three years. I'd wager, if we start now, there will be hardly a team with 6 guys that stay together for three years any more...

Alas, with this many new guys somebody will be pissed about PT and decide to transfer. But that’s life in college basketball these days. No school is immune.

Absolutely. It’s not rocket surgery.
You get recruited over it’s time to seek out where playing time will be available.
Nature of the beast, especially with 1800 transfers per year.
Some guys got pushed several slots down. But they had to know it was coming, just a matter of time.

In this age of 1800 transfers with 350 teams a roster of 13 is probably too many.

That's a pretty bold statement Ramster for this Nov, not leaving yourself much wiggle room.

I guess if KC makes a decision to wait until fall to enroll, leaving us an open scholarship that Archie might decide to fill.

Also, if one or two of our returning players feel they have been recruited over and decide to transfer, because of limited anticipated playing time.

Ramster are you including possible walk-ons to your roster statement?

Archie was able to get a lot of guys based on the pitch that they could earn plenty of playing time with the roster being what it was. I imagine that by the end of this season there will be guys that thought they'd get more time, see that they're blocked because almost everyone can come back next year, and decide to transfer after this season. I think you'll see two or three players go

The new norm gonna be at least 3 players per (every) team per year. Bank on it. (See what I did there?)

No.
I’m saying at least 1 player will depart by November 1

And not saying it’s a bad thing. Will likely fill the spot(s) with a better player (players)

Just been a swarm of talented players added in just the past few weeks - almost all were “stealth” adds

And remember some here we’re saying Archie would leave 1 roster spot open. Didn’t happen - yet

Given the back court firepower Bassy is prob the only possible late departure...but I hope he stays and tries to elevate

I doubt he leaves - kid scraps and will be a good A10 player. I see a potential RS season though, since that is what he should have done last year. Next year I expect Carey will be gone along with Martin - Carey is going to have a big year and go pro.

Ramster. I guess it is possible, but somehow I feel confident we won't lose anyone else prior to the start of the season.

All the teams start their summer workout very soon (early June), and I think all our players will be sticking around.

Next season could be a different story.
