LOL.

Some of our fan are just downright dilusional.

Same old shit.
Nobody thought that we could still get an at large bid if we lost tonight...

Can we PLEASE not blame the refs after every damn loss??

We were winning down the stretch and shit the bed like always.

Blaming the refs is getting old real quick.

Close out a damn game for once.

Again, not surprised or upset at all about this game, its gotten to the point where you just have to expect us to lose when playing on the road or against a better opponent or better coach. I love our guys, our school and our effort on most nights, but the emotional investment in this team has not garnered anything in what seems like forever. Dont beat ranked teams, dont beat pc, I know losing EC was a kick in the nuts, but the way this team repeatedly folds in late game situations is just a sign of a bad team. Being a Cowboy fan has me well conditioned to the high expectation, low result scenario. I'm still sure we'll still be seeing the at large bid posts using whatever rpi site that was referenced a few days ago.

We get called for more fouls because we commit more fouls and our coach whines about every call from beginning to end.. We do not have the horses to play man defense the whole game.. Where is the coaching??? When doing the same thing over and over offensively and defensively doesn't work change it up even for a couple of possessions...

We have to be one of the worst clutch teams in the country in close games.

Absolutely terrible.

A little over 3 minutes left with a 4 point lead, and don't score the rest of the way.

Pathetic.

I know next year is next year, but if they don't improve in these situations it won't matter.

Jarvis trying to do it all, with zero help. The basket seems like it's 6 inches wide when we shoot it late in games. That's if we even get a shot off.

FORGET Dancing, and probably forget any postseason. This team is done like dinner. I don't care if we win a few games coming up at home, as soon as we see a good team we pull an el foldo.

By the way, we are NOT a good team. This seals it in my mind. 17-18 wins and that's it.

You've got some serious work to do between now and next season, Mr. Hurley.

Until Dan swallows his pride and hires a veteran coach to bring some in game stability, this program is going nowhere. I beleived it when he was hired and I believe it more so now.

It wasn't the refs. It was having 2 shot clock violations, traveling, driving into traffic and getting swatted (Disclaimer: If the game plan is for Garrett to drive every play down the middle, big men need to get the hell out of the box and draw their taller defenders out) all in the final 2 minutes and that was only on offense.

Four lost his man on defense again and then didn't box out which lead to the offensive rebound that sealed the game.

This team has the basketball IQ of Forrest Gump.

We were up by 2 with 2 minutes left, even with the FT disparity. Most teams consider that being in a position to win, which we never end up doing in that type of situation. Didn't score a single point in the last 3:30. Pathetic.

Hate to say it but that game went as expected. Only true road game win is still the game at Brown where the team had to fight like hell to come back from 15 down against a bottom tier Ivy League team. Anyone who thinks this Rhody edition will go on a roll is delusional. It will continue to be an up and down roller-coaster season. We will beat the lesser teams and win very few away games. It is what it is.

When Terrell got beat by Posey and picked up his 3rd foul he went immediately to the bench, Thompson came in and hit a big shot. I'm not sure Terrell went out for 3 fouls or because he got beat by Posey or both. He stayed out for a long stretch. Was not his best game for sure.

In one of the pregame write-ups, the author was waxing poetic about URI being such a tough team, evidenced by their resume of close losses. As if we shouldn't even be capable of contending in some of these games, but by golly...we're gritty until the end! Bullshit. We've had the lead down the stretch in a good number of these games, but fold like a cheap suit in crunch time.

Clearly most of this falls on the players themselves, but I actually think there's a lot of truth to the announcer's prognosis re: Hurley's "antics" in critical situations. He needs to stay under control so his players mimic that behavior. Can't have consecutive wasted possessions down the stretch in a close game, and we seem to make a living out of it. Very frustrating loss.

Why is Garrett trying to go 1 on 5 the last 3 minutes?

We were moving the ball and scoring well until then.

WHY does this team go brain dead at the end of games?

Is this what Dan wants to do, go half court which we SUCK at 90% of the time, especially late in games?

Is it coaching, or is JG largely to blame here?

Terrell? He brings it when he feels like it, sometimes.

He needs to sit until he brings it EVERY time.

That's OK, next year CT and probably Robinson and Dowtin will take most of his minutes. EC too of course.

He doesn't have to play if he doesn't feel like it, we'll have more depth to replace him.

Even though the last thing I want to do is agree with those announcers tonight i have to say that I've always thought that too. End of game when pressure is high it helps to have a calm coach that you can channel your own energy through. (see coach K and Duke who always wins close games except for tonight.) When the coach is screaming at his players, the refs, and even the opposing teams bench it doesn't help to relax amybody

You have to be the 50th best team in the country to get in. 68 teams minus the 18 minus shit auto-bid teams who get in (seeded 13-16 plus the 16 play-in games). We aren't even close. Some of those shit 13-14 seeds could probably beat us on a neutral court right now.

Refs didn't lose that game for us we collapsed again....We do this every fucking road game....What the fuck happens to our coach and our team under 5 mins?? We all of a sudden just go Garrett you dribble around until 8 seconds on the shot clock and hope for the fucking best.. Who cares that we were actually moving the ball really well and hitting shots just go figure it out on your own...

We are going to win 3 out of next 4 and I'm sure people will start saying we have turned the corner we are playing great! im not falling for it again... I'll support this team and hope they win every game but I'll get excited again in Brooklyn

There were several 'phantom' fouls called, but who ever said we were up and blew it is right. The point of road games against good teams is they always come down to a few points if your team is also good, we need to be able to win on the road, it's as simple as that, I stated my opinion of the refs at StJoes, but its not an excuse, we still need to be able to win these close road games, or at least some of them. DH needs to find a way.

I would even argue against the 50th best team. Because of the unexpected conference tournament upsets by a team not getting an at large. I think you need to be Top 30. And to be that, you better be beating some really great National teams.

I would scream too if I was watching my team repeatedly self destruct in close games.

Hopefully Hurley is as pissed as we all are after this latest gag job.

Yes he needs to calm down but he's as skittish as his team is.......

This is NOT what we expected, 4 years into this coach's time here.

Something is wrong, and it's got to get fixed by next season, or else it will be just more frustration piled on top of frustration.....

Dan has not figured out how to get his players to make the plays under pressure. He's going to have to figure it out, and soon.

On the court, the physical talent is there. The mental talent is not.

I hate to say this, but this is all too familiar, as we had the same late game issues with the previous coach.

The blocking call against KI was horrendus and it cost us a 3 pointer made by 4. KI was the guy who got knocked down.

Earl cannot guard anyone outside of 8-10 feet from the hoop. Crucial 3 pointer his guy got with 2 seconds on shot clock.

Why does Hass try to position himself on the left side of the basket down low? As a lefty he should be on the other side which means an easier shot.

Hurley slows the offense down at the 3 minute mark when we are up 2 and we wind up with a shot clock violation. Run your effin offense as it is way too early to try and use up time when only up 2.

WTF is up with JT?????????????

Talking about postseason is a waste of time. In fact let's hope it trigger's Hurley to take a closer look into the deficiencies of his game plan for the future.
