Fans were calling for his head after this last tournamentNYGFan_Section208 wrote: ↑11 months agokinda doubt that even...
Beginning with the 2022-23 season, he still had $61.5 million left on his deal. It would be a steep buyout if Kentucky were to fire him. If fired, Kentucky would owe Cal 75% of what remains of his deal. If he was fired this offseason, he would be paid $39.75 million.
Further to that:SmartyBarrett wrote: ↑11 months ago Everywhere he goes the coach gets fired. Cal better update that resume.
It is just a matter of time when players can transfer midseason & play right away. The rationale will be, "why should this elite player on [insert a low mid-major here] have to sit out for the tournament. They should be able to play for [insert a P5 school here] immediately!"rhodyrudder wrote: ↑11 months ago Tre certainly isn’t at fault for Beard or Huggins getting arrested!
But this is the new world of the ncaa.
I can’t wait until players can just leave any “school” at any time and be immediately eligible anywhere they can make more money or get more love.
Four “schools” in five years. How many more years eligibility will Tre have when he leaves UK?
I can’t think of a worse post regarding NIL than this.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑11 months ago Make high school recruits play 2 years before they can transfer without sitting out, unless there is a coaching change.

15 you are critical of 78 by stating "I can’t think of a worse post regarding NIL than this" 78 wasn't even talking about NIL I believe he was referring to the transfer portal. People in glass houses....Rhody15 wrote: ↑11 months agoI mean, it makes zero sense and has less than 0% chance of happening.
Now some may have phrased my post differently, but I can guarantee the overwhelming majority here would agree with me that your idea is an absolute non starter.
I was referring to the portal, but I don't see discussing anything with 15. It's a waste of time.79RhodyFan wrote: ↑11 months ago15 you are critical of 78 by stating "I can’t think of a worse post regarding NIL than this" 78 wasn't even talking about NIL I believe he was referring to the transfer portal. Yes, I meant to type “portal” instead of “NIL.” My bad there.79RhodyFan wrote: ↑11 months ago15 you are critical of 78 by stating "I can’t think of a worse post regarding NIL than this" 78 wasn't even talking about NIL I believe he was referring to the transfer portal. People in glass houses....

The point still stands.
There will never be a policy saying incoming freshman have to stay for two years unless there’s a coaching change. Nonstarter.

Suggest adding to this, if they found out for one team they change jerseys and continue playingsection(105) wrote: ↑11 months ago Or players can transfer at half time and play for the opponent for second half…….

Just because it will never happen based on the direction that things are moving in, doesn't mean it wouldn't be a good idea for improving the landscape in college basketball. Both of your points can be correct, and are correct in my opinion.Rhody15 wrote: ↑11 months agoYes, I meant to type “portal” instead of “NIL.” My bad there.79RhodyFan wrote: ↑11 months ago15 you are critical of 78 by stating "I can’t think of a worse post regarding NIL than this" 78 wasn't even talking about NIL I believe he was referring to the transfer portal. Maybe he is just looking for a better NIL deal.bigappleram wrote: ↑10 months agoHe's so good. Someone is getting brizzed from a P5 to make room for him.
Wonder what happened at UT.
Or, already has one worked out? Expect to see a lot of this NIL-driven ship jumping....

Rick Pitino strikes again. Pitino only kept the St John's starting center, Joel Soriano from last year's roster. He has rebuilt St John's in 4 months to a potential Top 25 Team. Ludlum a huge pick up for St John's.NYGFan_Section208 wrote: ↑10 months agoOr, already has one worked out? Aside from some very talented and high scoring transfers, they also recently signed 4*/5* top 30 freshman recruit Simeon Wilcher who had decommitted from North Carolina.
He would be a great start for 24-25.ramster wrote: ↑10 months agoPitino is very much in the running for White Plains NY #8 Ranked ESPN 2024 Boogie Fland.Jersey77 wrote: ↑10 months agoYes Ramster, they certainly look loaded this season.ramster wrote: ↑10 months ago

No problem. St. John's reloaded THIS season. Only Soriano was kept on by Pitino. 1 player and Pitino just started in April only 4 months ago.Jersey77 wrote: ↑10 months agoHe would be a great start for 24-25.ramster wrote: ↑10 months agoPitino is very much in the running for White Plains NY #8 Ranked ESPN 2024 Boogie Fland.

I've heard said by some here that Cox got left with very little talent by Hurley. If Jacob Toppin makes the Knicks, which I think he will, that means Cox had a team with 3 future NBA players on it. Dowtin with Toronto, Martin with Atlanta and Toppin with NY Knicks, plus Fatts Russell. All Cox teams decreased in talent from that team. Toppin and Martin chose other pastures to develop their skills and bodies. No URI team has had 3 NBA players on it at the same time that I can recall.NYGFan_Section208 wrote: ↑10 months agoI'm glad Arch is here now, but oh my, what might have been....ramster wrote: ↑10 months agoRick Pitino strikes again.
