This may sound crazy, but this is exactly how my daughter played her HS game tonight (Gansett vs. Coventry). She's a guard, could not hit the side of a barn (normally good shooter, will approach 1,000 career points). But instead she dished the ball, played awesome D. Gansett won, and Coventry was sitting at the top of the division at 9-1.

My point is not to compare girl's D-2 HS bball to men's D-1 college hoops, but to say that all efforts matter, and mesh to form a great effort. Fatts not hitting on offense sucks, but he is contributing with other very important aspects as mentioned. Hopefully he realizes it, and it motivates him as much as offensive scoring does.

Let's drop the hammer in the second half here...!

Careless with on ball defense to start the 2nd.

2 quick turnovers. Not a terrible turnover by Martin and I like that Jeff passed on the shot to move the ball. Good timeout by Cox. Bucket here stops the bleeding.

Made that exact move. I like it, but it doesn’t work out.

Makes a bucket on offense, but loses his man for an open 3 to the chagrin of Cox. Then failed to box out and makes a desperation foul on a dunk. Needs to go back on the bench.

I'm not really surprised that Duquesne has made a run. Have to show some maturity here and answer it. Obviously will need to score some points to finish this game, but it won't matter if we don't tighten things up on the other end. Defense has been lousy this half.
