Ditto x 1000!!!
Rhody's winning today.
I am not sure if the Rams can host a tournament match though.
Maybe someone can comment...
I think there needs to be a press facility at all NCAA games, and while the pitch is world class, there is nothing adequate for the media.
Could we truck in something temporarily?
Anyway, we'll find out tomorrow...Thursday is the likely first match, with winners advancing to a second round on Sunday

Our RPI went up to #18, hurt because George Mason is #95
But still a solid number heading into the selection and seeding process

Many unexpected upsets this year in Conference Tournaments
Looks like URI will be the only A10 Team. Dayton, Fordham and VCU unlikely
URI beating PC hurt them as well as their 4-0 loss to Georgetown in the BE Tourney

NCAA selection party at Charlie O’s today.
Announcement is 1pm. Get there early.

Just like with this year’s basketball team, we are in!! And we only need to wonder about where, when and who.

Worst case scenario- no press box so we get to travel to at large UConn.

URI now with a #20 RPI

Several quality teams are going to be left out of this year's tournament because of upsets in conference Tournaments. For example:
In AAC Play: SMU (now #37 RPI) upset UCF (now #13) to win the auto bid. UCONN should be a lock to get in with a #24 RPI

In the Big South: Campbell (now #151 RPI) pulled upsets along the way and won the conference. High Point (now #27) should still get an at large bid

In the Big West: UC Riverside (now #82 RPI) won the conference. UC Irvine Anteaters (now #23) should still get an at large bid

in the WAC: Grand Canyon (now #53) won the conference. Air Force (now #27) should still get an at large bid.

Fordham, Davidson, Dayton, St Louis, George Mason and PC all are all likely out having RPIs 57 or above.

URI is likely the only A10 team this year.

Supposedly we would play Indiana if we beat UCONN
Indiana is 17-2-1 with #2 RPI

So the team that had the worse RPI gets to host. Typical NCAA.

UConn's on campus stadium is not even available due to construction work. May have to play at 40K seat Rentschler Field.

Why couldn't Meade be converted?

The idea of not maximizing good to great facilities (like soccer) will only hurt fund raising.
Believe me. People are tired of giving and then being told-"it is not good enough".
Why can't the soccer boosters come up with $100K? Short money.

Game is at night and Meade doesn't have lights. It doesn't sound like a facility issue though

So RR2, we had a better RPI, a better ranking and a better record. The AAC is that much of a soccer powerhouse to get the home game? What gives?

I have no idea. Who got the home game didn't make sense and that was before we found out the game would be off campus in a 45000 seat stadium

UConn soccer is probably already discussing with the NCAA that the game will not be able to be played due to the weather and cannot at any later time be rescheduled. Will request the NCAA automatically award them the win.
