Not enough people in Texas... wait. Not enough Texas fans... no wait. Not enough money for Texas... no wait.

I think it's just a combination of the in home viewing experience being so much better nowadays and less interest from young people.

The truth is CBB audience seems to be largely made up middle aged-old aged males. Especially the ore hardcore crowd who are more likely to watch non national teams. Not a bad thing as it's often a relatively well off demographic, but not a growing one either.

CBB is simply not new or shiny. My generation definitely seemed to have less interest than my fathers and i graduated back in 09. A couple years ago i sat among a group of 10 or so students and nearly every one of them seemed to only be there because it was some sort of social event, the majority had eyes glued to the cellphone until the final two minutes of the game. Overall, I fell like the current generation of under 21s are even less likely to be going to a URI game on campus or watching a couple unranked teams play at home on a weeknight then even my generation was.

It's generational, cultural, economical, etc. NCAA has attendance decline almost everywhere...

A social activity for a college kid now is staring at their phone/computer and emailing/texting/facebooking/instagramming for hours upon hours. They don't feel the want or need to go to game for social stimulation (although I don't consider messing around with my phone stimulating).

Why on earth is arguably our biggest conference home game (st. Bonn) at 11am??? I know it falls on a Saturday but this still puzzles me
