Question: If PC still had football, would they be in the AAC
If PC still had football, would the State of RI built them a stadium in Providence and would PC have followed the same path as UCONN?

I talked to an old timer (RIP) and he said RI State ( I think that is what URI was called at the time) played football against PC in Providence, and so many fights broke out because of the PC players, Keaney said he would never play another football game vs. PC.

Re: Question: If PC still had football, would they be in the
Per Wikipedia, PC last had a team in 1941. That's so long ago that the question almost seems irrelevant. To continue the hypothetical experiment though, I'm guessing the answer would be no, because look at UConn and UMass. I think a PC program would have more in common with them as opposed to Boston College, which has a bigger metro market to draw from, and has probably benefited from being one of the lone D1 football programs in the area. (i.e. They probably have fans from all over New England, similar to how the Braves had an unusually high national fan base for a while thanks to TBS.)
