I’d take rebound and protect the rim/paint over run…let the big set up transition and let the other guys run. That would be more than sufficient. Daron Holmes isn’t walking through that door.

Would you say there is a 0% chance Holmes returns to Dayton?bigappleram wrote: ↑3 weeks ago I’d take rebound and protect the rim/paint over run…let the big set up transition and let the other guys run. That would be more than sufficient. Daron Holmes isn’t walking through that door.

When it comes to 7 footers I am still traumatized by the memory of Blake Vedder...

Did not know he was teammates with Fuchs. He had a good season at UC Irvine would be awesome to see them reunite at URI.Section104 wrote: ↑3 weeks ago I would imagine a name to keep an eye on - now followed on Twitter by our new assistant coach - is Bent Leuchten - 7'1 UC Irvine transfer from Germany that is being recruited by Missouri, Xavier, VCU, Oregon State, and more...

I don’t think it’s zero, maybe 10% chance he returns? I thought he would go NBA last year. Personally I think he should go NBA. Not too much left to prove at the College Basketball level.RhodyKyle wrote: ↑3 weeks agoWould you say there is a 0% chance Holmes returns to Dayton?bigappleram wrote: ↑3 weeks ago I’d take rebound and protect the rim/paint over run…let the big set up transition and let the other guys run. Two mock drafts have Holmes going 2nd round…..
Portland has Holmes teammate Toumani Camara who entered the Portland starting line up as a Rookie from Dayton…..
Players who have applied for early entry maintain the right to withdraw from consideration no later than 5 p.m. ET on June 16. Under NCAA rules, in order to retain college basketball eligibility, college players who have entered the draft face an earlier deadline of May 29.

Thanks for posting the vid, PRT.
Did a first quick viewing of the first part.
The good: He’s big, has a nice touch, has a nice stroke from 3.
The not good: He is slow off the floor, doesn’t have much lift.
He could help on O but also could struggle on D and with rebounding against more athletic A10 and high level bigs. That’s all I have so far. Will need to watch more game video.

He's definitely a little slow, but solidly skilled and looks like a pretty decent rim protector.
Had 19 points against USC and 13 against Utah.
He and Zapala look like the same type of guy.

I would have to go back and check, PRT, but I thought Zapala looked to have more spring in his jump. I could be wrong as my memory isn’t as reliable as in the past.
Anyway, some very good stats referenced by you above. I personally favor a more springy center but those stats against high level competition are encouraging.

I would be happy with this guy - I want kids with some touch and moves around the rim. Tired of watching us bring in bigger stiffs. Also, that Oakland floor is awful. Just terrible viewing experience.sevegny7 wrote: ↑3 weeks agoI noticed the same about his Twitter follows. He did just enter the portal too. I would be happy with him as a perspective addition.jakepnickers wrote: ↑3 weeks ago Shot in the dark here with too much time on my hands but Chris Conway from Oakland is followed by new AC. Again it is totally "reading the tea leaves" and I have no inside info or intel we are tied to him but could fit our undersized center MO. Is an inside back to the basket type player.
He had 15 pts and 7 rebounds versus Xavier. He also held his own in the NCAA tourney versus Kentucky and NC State.
He did get a decent amount of blocks towards the end of the year too. If you look at kenpom he is listed as nationally ranked for block%

Read his request.
It’s not asking too much is it?
And why be so mean so often?
And why offend people so often?
In fact you seem to take your greatest satisfaction in going after the softest person

Ooph
How long before a players agent rep sues the NCAA for closing the portal and arguing it should be open at least from end of the season to the first official day of practice.
Nah…on second thought, will probably try for keeping it open year round.

There will be a new and totally legal website called 'Speedy Enrollment' which would enable a player to do just that.section(105) wrote: ↑3 weeks ago Yea, player at 1/2 time can change jerseys and play for the opponent.

I'm actually glad I didn't renew my season tix and URI should be as well. With NIL and the portal, I would be killing a kid like Thomas if he played like he did two years ago. In fact, I would be screaming at any player who missed a free throw. Never said You Suck to a URI player, but it may happen next year. Welcome to the world of pro basketball. In the NCAA. If a player sucks, well, fans are going to let them know. If I go to a game, they better play well. Or else I'm letting loose.

I asked the same question before! If they get paid they are no longer “kids” they are now this years hired players/pros and may very well be treated as such if they suck. Or they will just play in front of fewer and fewer fans if they are lucky.
