IDK seems kinda balanced out. NE isn't a big talent pool. The top end of New England talent is probably going to UConn anyway. (Solo Ball last year, Clingan year before), but there's not a ton of those "top" guys.

From the listed recruits on 247, there's not a lot of New Englanders to choose from.

Maine and RI had zero D1 quality recruits. VT had 2 (Arizona, A&M), NH had 1 (UNH), CT had 3 (Brown, Pitt, Cinci), MA had 8 (Mich St, Georgetown, A&M, Rutgers, BC, Purdue, PC, BC).

So 14 recruits are from New England. There are a ton of prep schools up here, but those kids are already from way outside of New England and are being recruited by schools closer to them. It's not like we're losing recruiting battles to UMass or Fordham. There's not a big pipeline of talent in New England. Makes more sense to focus on the DMV and NY.

Cooper Flagg is the top player in the country right now in high school. He's from Maine but goes to Montverde. Obviously we'd never have a shot at him, but I think there's a lot more talent in N.E, than you think.
