Get to 20 W's, with a win over UNC, and maybe a game in the ACCT...they're in?

Looking forward to the ballwashing he’ll do after the game.

“Providence is great, AMP is one of best places to play in America, city is great blah blah blah.”

Every home game for them is treated as the greatest event in the country, getting very annoying.

You’d think they’re playing at The Colosseum in Rome like The Amp is talked about.

6 games left probably need 5-1 then a couple in the ACC tournament
They aren’t near the bubble yet NET of 90 before tonight so I guess it’s a long shot

Credit to them, it's in the top 10 for sure around college basketball. Not hyperbole.

Their fans care. Their in-game experience (WiFi, replays, concessions, beer, target audience of sports fans and not just "families") isn't even in the same ballpark, area code, state, or even country as what we offer at the Ryan Center.

They invested in their basketball infrastructure, built a program and continued to invest. Then they lost their legendary coach and they continued to invest. So here they are.

That could've been URI. So now we're starting all over again. Dave Cox set us back a decade. It seems like we learned our lesson, now we have to be patient.

Yes 208,

On top of that is Coastal Carolina (6-17) playing in the Sun Belt Conference. Brayon Freeman plays for them but doesn't play much at all.

He hasn't played in a game in a month, so he's seemingly either hurt or bouncing from this team as well. He's still listed on the CCU roster, but media coverage of that team is minimal, so I'm not sure what it is.

I didn’t expect that, Jersey, because the game is at Richmond.

Can UMass hang on ? We will see.

Bona is handling Fordham so far. Bona’s on the road too.

Yes, didn't expect Richmond to lose at home to UMass, especially by double-digits.
No surprise the Bonnies beat Fordham.

The only reason some have them in is by default, non had them in as an at large.

Since they were first in the A10, some bracketologists automatically put Richmond in as the AQ for the conference.

Yeah, I think this is a universally used approach where every 1st place team is the default AQ then they fill in the at-larges from there. If Richmond falls behind Dayton in the A10 standings over the next week or two, we'll see brackets only have 1 A10 team in.

#1 UCONN (22-2) is at DePaul (3-20). UCONN favored by 24.5. Huge gap between the 1st and last place Big East teams. UCONN beats PS winning 101-65 - 36 points over hapless DePaul

That loss didn't help their cause, also it didn't benefit us.
We aren't going to catch the top 4 (Dayton, Richmond, Loyola, VCU), so I want the next best possible seeding in the A10T.

I am hoping we can avoid the PIG.

I’m high on Umass. And I think how we have played them over 80 minutes is encouraging. They have talent, couple strong FR and play hard. Matt Cross gets them double digit extra possessions every game thru pure will and grit. An easy player to like. We saw what he did at the end of our game. He does that every game. I’m impressed by the job Martin has done there. Eye test last night said they had more talent and depth than Richmond. Bullied them from start to finish pretty much.

b]Wednesday A10 Games:[/b]
UMASS (15-8) @ Richmond (-3.5) (17-6) ESPN+ 7pm. Too much Matt Cross. Game high 35 minutes. 4-6FG, 8-9 FT for 16 points, game high 13 rebounds, game high 4 offensive rebounds
Sophomore Guard Kept Thompson continues to impress with 9 rebounds and 13 points

UMASS shot only 6-22 3P with Diggins hitting only 1-9 but the Freshmen off the bench were hot from 3P land. Freshman Robert Davis Jr 25 min, 3-4 3P for 9 points, Freshman Jaylen Curry 15 min, 2-4 3P, 3-3 FT, 4-9 FG for 13 points

St Bonaventure (-3.5) (14-9) @ Fordham (10-13) ESPN+ 7pm. Assa Essamvous scored a career high 23 points for Bonnies to 85-67 win at Fordham. Amazingly Essamvous was 7-7 3P and 8-9FG for 23 points in a team high 32 minutes. Noel Brown, 6'11", 265 lb center came off the bench to score 18P on 7-8 FG, 4-5 FT plus 5 rebounds. Brown transferred this year from A10 George Washington where he played 3 years.

St Joseph's (16-8) @ Loyola (-4.5) (17-7) ESPN+ 8pm. Loyola wins by 5 points. Desmond Watson, who transferred this season from Davidson, lead the Ramblers with 12P, 8 R, 4 assists, 2-4 3P, 4-4 FT. Alston had 14P, 8R
Essandoko, the starting 7', 285lb Freshman Center DNP for St Joseph's. Freshman Xzayvier Brown again led the way for St Joseph's playing 40 minutes, 8-16 FG, 4-7 3P, 9-9 FT for easily the game high of 29 points. Erik Reynolds and Cameron Brown combined for 3-17 3P shooting - an off night for them.
Brown, Reynolds and Brown all played 40 minutes as only 7 player rotation was used.

Hard to tell by just one game, but Richmond definitely looked flat.
Maybe they can shake it, as being just an off night for them, and move on.

Will be interesting if both Cross and Cohen return to UMass for their final season of eligibility.
They do have plenty of young talent and they have over-recruited by several players for next season, of course depending on what happens to the 2 C's up-front.

If they both come back they will compete for an ncaa bid - assuming they retain all other core players.

Martin/Miller Rhode Island / Massachusetts battling for top of A10 would be a dream scenario IMO.

Crank up the local hate!

I think an ideal scenario for the league would be if their top 4 teams were Dayton, VCU, Umass and URI.

All A10 Teams play 4 teams twice to get to 18 games. 14 Single games and 4 Home-Home.

Loyola Plays these 4 teams Home-home:

St Louis
St Joseph's
Davidson
George Mason

Yes, in that case I would say they would be loaded.

Ramster, from before the season started - like many others here - I felt it important that we finish in the top 10 of the conference. I also felt we improved the roster to be able to do that.

So far, so good. But, we are hanging on by a thread. We could really use a win Sunday.

Actually JD, we would need to finish in the top 9 to stay out of the PIG.
But yeah, we are right at the cut-off, so far.

UMass and UConn are not acronyms of anything so capitalizing all the letters makes no sense.

URI - UMass - UConn
