VCU wins 49-47

Jason Nelson hit 3-4 3P’s to lead VCU with 11 points. Nelson is a sophomore who transferred to VCU from Richmond - same city, same conference
Holmes hit only 5-13 FTs including missing the front end of a 1-1 late in the game.

There is a chance the MWC gets 6 and the A10 gets 1
Bracketmatrix has 5 MWC in no lower than 8 seed with Nevada the 3rd team out
A10 is currently 1 bid league if Dayton wins it

Loyola Chicago takes one at GW, 81-73. LUC led most of the game, but GW managed to take the lead with 7 minutes left and built a 7 point margin before the Ramblers recovered their composure and took the lead back to win going away.

Loyola 9-2 in conf now

Looks like the double byes are most likely set with Richmond Dsyton Loyola and VCU

One of the rare times I comment on refs, the no call on PC dunk attempt was bad, one defensive player involved, fine no call. Two players making aggressive contact beyond the vertical wall was bad no call. But gotta give Kim English high marks not to blame officials. At least what I heard on news.

Here’s my theory, the first defender had a clean block, therefore the second defenders contact is void. Therefore a no call.

Yeah, NYG, too much Tyler K.

Man, he is a tremendous college point guard. Excellent handle, excellent passer, excellent scorer, excellent floor general, pesky on D.

I really enjoy watching floor generals run offenses.

I actually agree with you here , lots of times refs don’t want to decide the game with a foul call and I’ve seen some ticky tack calls in that same situation but there was an awful lot of contact there

I don’t know if it is a thing anymore, but the body contact while in the act of shooting is a foul? The focus always seems to be ‘ I had all ball….’ Bit if the body contact disrupts the shot? Coach English said in another he thought it was a foul. But didn’t complain much.

One of the great Logan Roy lines from the TV series "Succession" was "I love you guys, but you are not serious people." Seems a perfect fit to this gratuitous response.
