Win out and I think they go into A-10 play with a very solid shot at an at large.
Moreso Dayton than St Joe's I'd think.

That loss to Texas A&M Commerce is going to stick out like a sore thumb. They also won't get credit for losing a close game to Kentucky.
They do get credit for playing that game. It'll be good for their metrics. It's hard to say how much the Nova win cancels out the Q4 loss, but it certainly gives them little margin for error. I think if they run the table in the OOC and don't drop another Q4 they should be fine. Temple and Princeton would be solid wins.

Dayton's LSU, St John's and SMU wins are okay. Feels like they need those UNLV and Cinci wins to feel confident.

Luckily for both the A-10 isn't full of landmines like it has been.

Rothstein goes into more depth in a subsequent tweet about his model of reducing the A-10 league schedule and getting more Quad 1 and 2 OOC games. While this sounds great in theory, the reality of today's college basketball landscape makes it highly unlikely to be achievable. If it were, wouldn't A-10 programs already (without any needed league schedule change) be reducing the number of OOC games against low level opponents for such games? As I see it, they are not presently doing that because they cannot currently get better games.
Absolutely RF1, if scheduling was that easy why would we play J&W along with some other schools, same with other A10 programs.
In addition, there are several A10 schools that weren't even able to fill out their full 13 OOC game schedule.

Looks like Trey Alexander bounced back a bit after a couple rough ones.

What better way to start the day tomorrow than Syracuse hoops at noon at UVA? Judah Mintz is a fun player to watch.
Haven't seen the 'noles play yet, but @ UNC at 2, and Duke at GA Tech @215.
You're rooting against Duke anyway, so take GA Tech and dream of that court storm, never mind the 13.5 points ;)

Interesting...they're punting the end of this St. John's WVU game to ESPNSpews, for UConn at Kansas

I thought VCU would struggle a bit this season, even more so with Bairstow out and Bam denied.
Still this is a bad loss for them.

But Norfolk State isn't horrible, and neither is Fordham.
They are picked 2nd in the MEAC this season.
They also went to the NCAAT 2 of the last 3 years.
Robert Jones is a good coach who will probably trade up at some point.

Yeah, Norfolk looks like they're going to land in that 200 to 250 range. Not a great team, but one that can beat you if you play crappy or they get hot from the field. They've also done a good job of scouting their own backyard - 10 of the 13 scholarship players are from Virginia, Pennsylvania or North Carolina.

In A10 action, UMass, Bonnies and Dayton all won. Loyola beating up on Hahvid and Davidson holding court. SLU having a tough go at it. Not a bad day for the A10.

That officially makes Villanova the worst team in Philly. All the other five teams registered at least one win in their city games series.

As of today, the NBE has 3 real good teams - UConn, Creighton and Marquette - worthy of being ranked in or very near the top 10. Everyone else ? TBD, imho.

PC may be the best of the rest.

We get to see how we measure up soon.

A10 6-1 so far today. Richmond up 16 in the second half against Bill and Mary. GMU just getting started.

Edit. Looks like Richmond, up by 21 with 3+ minutes will take this one. GMU up 5 at half time. Take these two that will put the A10 at 8-1 for the day with Us and St Joes left.

Edit. Richmond wins. A10 7-1 today. GMU up 8 under 4. Joes up 11 at halftime and we are close with pc.
