She stroked it and the shot clock violation buzzer went off right before she released it, but the officials ruled that it should not have gone off because the time keeper/scoreboard operators never reset the clock after the offensive rebound seconds earlier.

You can tell Phillips is one of those players who just shoots the ball better with the shot clock or game clock buzzer closing in on her. If we could just play that sound effect every time she shoots the ball, she'd be like 6 of 7 or whatever from three point range right now.

Not sure about Tammi's rotation, especially with our poor shooting. In brief appearances Eva DeChent has shown an ability to hit the 3. She deserves a regular substitution role and can very instant offense.

Agreed. That would have been a statement win, and we need a bunch of them this year to get to the tournament. For starters we can't afford any more losses to Harvard and Princeton.

I’m all for getting buzz going about the program, but isn’t the Atlantic 10 a one bid league for women’s basketball? I’m thinking of Umass last year, they tied us to win regular season and had some quality wins to go with making it to the final in the A10 tournament, and didn’t get in.

This is a dumb take. How many mid-major teams are going to go into a ranked teams home court and come out victorious?

URI led for 3 quarters against a top 15 team in their own facility. Sure they need to work on a few things like outside shooting, but their defense was STELLAR. Tammi's team is on the rise.
