Said it a million times before the season and I’ll say it again. Cam is a stud.

Missed free throws, offensive rebounds, and the worst start in the history of the program is why we lose. Sucks because I think we can beat this team if we showed up from the tip.

Reef, I suspect he will adapt and bounce back against similar talent and size as the season goes along. That Doesn’t help much today, unfortunately.

Disappointing outcome for sure, but this is close to what I expected with a step up in competition (minus the 22-2 start).

The positives...

1.) Showed some good fight to come back after the horrible start.
2.) Cam looked really good. Kid is going to be a player.
3.) Zek played pretty well. As I said earlier, I think he is our best player.

The negatives...

1.) Rebounding. The defensive rebounding continues to be a huge issue. We've now allowed 15 off rebounds to CCSU, 14 to Fairfield, and 18 to Northwestern. Last season Kentucky was the best offensive rebounding team in the nation at 12.1 per game. So thats 3 of 4 games allowing more offensive rebounds than that, two of which were against terrible teams.
2.) House really struggled. A couple weeks back I wondered what it would look like when House inevitabley had an off night, and it sure wasn't pretty.
3.) Our front court is still a long ways off. Today it definitely looked like a group that had very little D1 experience.

In the end, it's still just one game and we're clearly much better than last season, but that was a tough look especially after all the talk this week about Northwestern not even being very good. Still got all the faith in Archie though and there's a lot of season left!

This was a good learning game, need to come out ready to play. Defense and rebounds need work. Lets us know exactly were we are in our development. Good game for Cam and Zek. Let's see how we bounce back tomorrow. Not the end of the season.

Progress isn’t linear. Not what alot of you want to hear but that’s reality

overall I was impressed with the bounce back after being completely overwhelmed the first 12 mins. Northwestern looked solid to me - their bigs were really effective with their off ball screens & sealing their man to create driving lanes.

Get a W tomorrow and it’s still a successful weekend - and we appear to have hit on atleast one of our freshmen in Cam

Shut your mouth Pete! You are a baby. The team is much more talented than last year, but that doesn’t mean they are an NCAA quality team yet. They need to keep developing and keep the team intact for next year. Sorry that every time the A-10 wins a game I don’t think this is a 4 team league. I give them credit for not giving up today.

Maybe, PRT. But, I did not come away from this game with the bad taste I had in my mouth at the start.

Cam gave us real good minutes and looks like he can help.

Bilau will be back and should help when he gets in game shape and gets his timing back.

Hopefully, Weston gets over the knee problem.

I think House will bounce back. Tomorrow’s game will be important in proving that for me. I’ll be disappointed if he lets us down tomorrow.

I am not happy with the loss but I do think we will be okay in the A10.

Yes House was awful today , but NW was allowed to manhandle him in the paint all day . Still his performance was disappointing . Most of the players seemed intimidated with the exception of Montgomery , Estevez and Foumena . Estevez and Montgomery carried the team all day . Fuchs and Brown had awful games joining House in that respect . Nice to see Dubsky bury a three at the end. This team is going to have to learn to be more physical if
they are going to compete against P5 teams which are often physical like NW is. Dayton seemed to have had the same problem against them . NW got every loose ball and did it today as well . The big Ten is a football league even in their basketball games. One word for this game DISAPPOINTING

Very disappointing. Thought we would show better than that. Long way to go.Out coached and out hustled right out of the gate. Northwestern easy buckets whenever they needed it. We reverted to one on one hero ball. Bigs nonexistent today. Big positive, Cam looks like a player and Zeke solid. At least should get home before 10:00..

This game will pay big dividends down the line. They needed to get a dose of reality, some seasons they don't get that until they play Providence. Now they have a measuring stick of where they are at and how far they need to go to get where they want to be.

Estevez is going to be a keeper.

They telegraphed that 3 point shot to Dubsky for the last 1:30 of the game it seemed like, they went down the court trying to rotate the ball to him about 2-3 times before they actually did it on the inbound play with seconds left. He was all alone, NW didn't even acknowledge him, didn't know who he was. There is no reason they can't do that with Dubsky a couple of times a game.

Some huge momentum shifts , Fuchs block to Zeks dunk and the arena went nuts. Solid Fan showing. Cam is a future star. House was a problem, but good learning experience. Also saw Weston’s mother and she was pissed.

NW had their best game of the season thus far too bad it had to be today . And URI played so tentative and scared early they made it easy for NW to relax and hit their open shots early on in the first half . After that the game was pretty even . I think the effort by URI to come back expended much
of their energy and they never really got it going in the second half.

I don't know what to say about Weston's mother being pissed. Maybe it's not meant to be. When he first came in, he let someone blow by him in the paint during their first 7-0 run and clearly came up gimpy with his knee, he was visibly limping.

Team came out tight and scared. Not surprising for a team that has never played a big game together.

After not forcing things in first 3 games Jaden forced everything today

Limiting turnovers and keeping even on the boards was always going to be key. We failed in both departments

Not discouraged at all after this. We aren’t playing for an at large. We are playing to max out this season and feel like we have an ncaa team returning next year. To that end tomorrows game is more impt.

I kinda expected this. The main thing I didn’t factor in was Northwestern’s offensive rebounds. We did get hot from 3 in the second half but we couldn’t stop them. When we did stop them they got a board. Our missed free throws killed us. Fuchs and Brown couldn’t do a thing in the post.

We now have our second toughest game tomorrow. Washington St is no pushover and they played a very good Mississippi St team well.

As expected Zek is our most consistent player. Cam is going to be special.

Win tomorrow and I’m happy about this weekend.
