Rebounding has much to do about attitude. You've got it AD.

She is a sweet and articulate young lady. When she puts on a uniform and steps on the floor she is downright nasty. What puts her over the top is that she knows her roll, accepts it and excels at it. She will be a major piece of the puzzle going forward.

She was great last year, and apparently getting even better still, all of the time.

When this team goes to the NCAAT, she will be a massive part of that. There is no way you sit that kind of rebounding and stealing prowess on the bench.

Rebounding is all about effort and will, sure, but it's also about the uncanny ability to anticipate to put yourself in the ideal position to get a rebound, to calculate angles and trajectories in your head, like a billiards player, which this young lady is very good at. It cannot be taught, it's an instinct, and I wish we had a few on the men's side with it.

Here is what Tammi said about Anaelle after the PC game last year.
ramster wrote: 1 year ago From Bill Koch twitter….

Reiss on Anaelle Dutat (7 points, 14 rebounds) -- 'She led FIBA in rebounding. There's a reason we brought her here.'

'That's something we haven't had in a while -- her ability.'

'We call her the Dennis Rodman.....that's her role.' #URI

Couldn’t agree more. I thought Of the Dennis Rodman comparison while watching last nights game.

I found my eyes glued to Dutat the entire 2nd half as she was assigned to Crooms on defense and Crooms was assigned Dutat when URI had the ball. Dutat, a true Freshman, matched up with 5th year Janai Crooms in the 2nd half was fun to watch.

I tried to find her middle name online in hopes that it starts with an R. This way we would have a new ARD, this time on the women's team.

With her athleticism, technique, determination, and everything else she brings, pound for pound and inch for inch one of the best rebounders I’ve ever watched. Very special player. As Hubie Brown would say, plenty of upside left too.
