When I grew up, Art Turgeon covered the Rams and Bill Parillo was the other columnist.
Mike Szostak wrote about the championship football teams.
It was a different era, obviously, with no internet.
I remember being in Morgantown during the a-10 tournament in '88, and people had gotten
faxes of the sports section and were passing them around.
Bunky's writing certainly influenced the way people thought about their sports heroes.
I quote him all the time in my math classes: I was always good at math until they started putting x in there.

Speaking of Szostak, here’s his tribute to Reynolds: https://thepublicsradio.org/episode/an- ... and-sports

New Bill Reynolds Book Released

Good use of his early retirement years. Looking forward to reading his book.

I miss his columns in the PROJO. In particular I miss how he used to recommend books for his readers to read and they didn't always have to do with sports.
