I was thinking the exact same thing. Round 2 game will be very difficult. Blue Collar U is the defending champions and are a very good team.

We also added Kenny Kadji (Miami FL) and Kelvin Amayo (Iona, LMU, Marshall)

Guess they needed a couple extra dudes. Of course you want it to be all Rhody Rams, but eh oh well.

Just got an invite today to create a bracket for the TBT tournament. Glad to see Rhody Way listed as taking on UMass Commonwealth in the first round.

I just gave $50. I give to the Rhode to Excellence too. I feel like we these alumni at least a night at a hotel for all they did for the program. Lot of great memories!

I agree with the sentiment - but I'd like to see them get a little more proactive with their fundraising.

I.e. - this is a big money tournament with a payday at the end. It's not like donating to the university. It wouldn't be the worst idea to promise a payback or investment opportunity should they win the million. I think they'd have a lot more success raising money if they said "if you give $100, we'll give you $150 if we win."

Something like that. Agreed that they're our guys and gave us a ton of memories though.

I mean - they could. They’ve got talent.

I don’t disagree about donating - but they’re pros overseas, if $35k is their expectation (seems high), but if you really want to get buy in breaking out $35k from the mil if you win isn’t a huge hit.

Dead serious question. Most of the players on the team have v good deals overseas, how is like 5k enough to sink them playing in this tournament? That doesn’t really make sense

My question is how real was this ever? Were the players actually committed? Why did we not articulate that they needed money to get in? Why did we start seeing random non Rhody guys show up on the roster?

Will we get our money back?
