Re: General Visits/transfer recruiting
A higher productive player in a P6 conference.
No brainer Langford over Green.

That would be punching way above our weight! But I’m sure it’s a long shot have to assume there’s a long line for him. But Woodward is a CTK grad I believe.

We would suddenly become very interesting if this were to come true.
The ‘fun to watch’ factor would go way, way up, for sure.

I would think significant NIL $’s are involved with Gardner, as well. However, I can’t define “significant NIL $’s” in his case at this time but, I would think that supply and demand in his case would drive up his price.

Probably best if he goes to Temple. He can do anything he wants there they lost a lot of guys to the portal.reef wrote: ↑1 year agoIt’s a pass for me as wellbigappleram wrote: ↑1 year ago Langford will want to be a centerpiece and the dad is not worth the headache. Pass

Re: General Visits/transfer recruiting
C'mon Joe. What was the point of posting Brandon Gardner's name in the 'General Visits/Recruiting' thread?

Re: General Visits/transfer recruiting
Haha I wonder if Joe realizes what he's started here! He's made it an interesting Friday at least...

Re: General Visits/transfer recruiting
I am sure he does, that is probably why he did it.
Don't get your hopes up, not happening.

Re: General Visits/transfer recruiting
My bad haha, this was supposed to be in response to someone’s post regarding using the last scholly on a freshman. Everyone was throwing out names of who they want. Gardner was at the top of my wish list, nothing more. Just wishful thinking

Jersey, I got nothin’.
ETA: Can’t even enlist my nephew to spy for me as his last class was on the first and he went back home because all his finals are online.

I’m bored. If we don’t hear any recruiting news soon or sign somebody, I am going to have to start posting in the Ant thread again. Oooph!

Re: General Visits/transfer recruiting
So to throw some spice in an otherwise slow recruiting weekend, Malik posted a dinner at LaMasseria in East Green last night. Not the kind of place a college kid takes a date…maybe a recruit dinner?

Re: General Visits/transfer recruiting
That’s something! I’ll take it!
Was it Brandon Gardner ?
I am taking 78’s suggestion above to heart and running with it. The recruiting thread version of running with scissors (Cheers reference for any Cheers fans out there).

Why would Malik be on a recruiting dinner?LoveThoseRams wrote: ↑1 year ago So to throw some spice in an otherwise slow recruiting weekend, Malik posted a dinner at LaMasseria in East Green last night. Not the kind of place a college kid takes a date…maybe a recruit dinner?
He’s not playing, not on the coaching staff, and will be off campus by the end of May.

15, I don’t believe LTR was being totally serious. If you read the several posts just above by 78 and me, we were joking around and LTR joined in.Rhody15 wrote: ↑1 year agoWhy would Malik be on a recruiting dinner?LoveThoseRams wrote: ↑1 year ago So to throw some spice in an otherwise slow recruiting weekend, Malik posted a dinner at LaMasseria in East Green last night. Re: General Visits/transfer recruiting
Calling him a "college kid" kind of diminishes that he's 23 years old at least. (Can't find his actual age online, so just ballparking based on how long he's been in college.) He's probably on the verge of playing professional basketball somewhere, or getting a job.LoveThoseRams wrote: ↑1 year ago So to throw some spice in an otherwise slow recruiting weekend, Malik posted a dinner at LaMasseria in East Green last night. Yes, but until May 19-21, he is a college kid.SGreenwell wrote: ↑1 year agoCalling him a "college kid" kind of diminishes that he's 23 years old at least. Not sure I had the dough to eat at La Masseria when I was 24.

Thanks, Drums. You are correct, we were all joking about the CRICKETS relating to recruits coming this weekend!Jdrums#3 wrote: ↑1 year ago15, I don’t believe LTR was being totally serious. Re: General Visits/transfer recruiting
Malik was also at a really nice house in East Greenwich yesterday watching the Celtics game. He posted it in hos IG stories. Does one of our coaches live in E.G? Maybe grooming Malik for an entry level position on the staff?
