Hopefully Records doesn’t hold a grudge against URI for getting snubbed by Cox and crew. Playing D1 hoops in SK should be a big deal. I expect Miller should be able to close the recruitment

We're arguably the worst of the six schools mentioned in that tweet from McGair. We better hope he ****ing loves home cooking, or something like that.

Since I'm not too in tune with this type of thing, are either of the commits someone that would have driven Hutch or Ish out the door? Just curious.

Ish and hutch are completely different situations.steviep123 wrote: ↑1 year ago Since I'm not too in tune with this type of thing, are either of the commits someone that would have driven Hutch or Ish out the door? Just curious.
Yes, Hutch was either explicitly told or realized he was being recruited over
Ish left because a lack of talent on this roster, not because there’s new faces

Re: Rhode Island Transfer Interest Spreadsheet for 22-23’
Hrstrat57,
Cox wanted nothing to do with RI players or pretty much anyone not from DMV.
2 years ago I brought up Records and got similar reactions here that you got.
And we had Jermaine Harris starting at center!!!
I would have welcomed him to URI then and if he came to URI for this upcoming season I'd be ecstatic!!
Similar Transfers have played out across the country whereby guys welcome the opportunity to go back home and play for the local team.
Look at Matt Cross coming back home from Louisville to play at UMASS this year and Khalid Moore coming from Georgia Tech to play back in his hometown of NYC at Fordham for his 5th Covid/Grad Year and what a year he and Fordham had.
What a great opportunity for South Kingston HS and St Andrew's Keegan Records to come back home to URI for his 5th Covid/Grad Year!!!
Imagine Keegan getting to continue his education at URI and play in front of family and friends?
It's a win - win. He plays one year at URI. No doubt we need help at the big man positions. He is a proven player with 4 years of experience, NCAA Tournament experience to boot.
We should be all over Keegan Records.

Makes layups can shoot the mid range
Runs the floor, hustles
Super smart and coachable
Pack line ready
We had tons of those guys here recently right?
Yep 4 years gone and I’m STILL all in on Records. Don’t blame the previous coach son, hold no grudges - bring it on home.

Same positions
Same play style
Same amount of eligibility
Makes way too much sense

Meh.
He doesn't really excite me or would push the needle.
Now his teammate PG Javian McCollum, that's another story.
Would love to get him.

Re: Rhode Island Transfer Interest Spreadsheet for 2022-23
I think they are smarter than that this time around. It's not quantity but quality that matters.
It may take some time between each signing, because there are players entering the portal every day, and also players they are involved with who are taking multiple visits elsewhere before they decide, and they don't want to pull the trigger on someone if they aren't getting the best player they can get. I don't blame them, they are under a lot of pressure to succeed this time around, much more than last year.

If Creighton returns Nembhard, Alexander, and Scheierman, not many minutes for Pride.
I would be more concerned with Xavier unless Sean gives little brother a gift.

How likely was Sean to let Archie play with his GI Joes when they were little? That might give us some insight.

I was gonna say, it’s not a playing time issue. Maybe he just doesn’t take as many shots as he could be taking?PeterRamTime wrote: ↑1 year agoHe looks super skilled. Surprising he only averages 8 points a game.

Well he did only average 22 minutes a game. He's definitely efficient. Great percentages. He might have some good upside.rhodyram22 wrote: ↑1 year agoI was gonna say, it’s not a playing time issue. I looked at Bradley's team scoring. Very balanced as far as that goes. 6 guys averaging between 8-13 points a game.rhodyram22 wrote: ↑1 year agoYup. That explains it then. He would be a great addition. 6'6" guard that can shoot.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑1 year agoI looked at Bradley's team scoring. Re: Rhode Island Transfer Interest Spreadsheet for 2022-23
Arkansas State seems like a kind of weird landing spot for Dominguez - Maybe he just wanted a place where he would be guaranteed playing time above all else? Definitely a good job by their new coach Bryan Hodgson (formerly of the Alabama staff) to get him there, though.

Did we have any interest in Dominguez? If not, should we have had interest?
