I also had the 11 and 12 seeds in the south. Furman was the only team that I picked at 13 or below. I took quite a few 9-12 for first round upsets. I'm sure my bracket will be trash soon.

Last time Furman won a NCAA game was 1974 when they beat Douth Carolina. Bruce Grimm was a good guard on that team who then transferred to PC, sat out a year, played for PC then transferred back to Furman for his last 2 years. Not a lot of transferring back in those days.

Furman and PC both lost 2nd round and played for tge 3rd place in the Eastern Regional back then and PC beat Furman. Grimm soon after transferred to PC.
