Nice win by the Rhody rams. Did not think they would a game on a road all year so I'll take it. But for the love of God, you have to miss that second free throw. To put yourself in a spot to lose that game by making that shot was not smart. When they had the ball in the front court with 1.7 seconds left, they could have easily lost that game by making that free throw. I mean if they miss that free throw no chance of losing that game unless someone throws in a full court shot which I will take my chances.

Also kudos to the refs for calling that foul. Oftentimes they don't call that, especially on the road.

That 17 point lead melted faster than the snow in my backyard. Not for nothing but these close games aren't good for the ticker as I get older. Hopefully they feel good about themselves going into Saturdays game. Looks like 2 in a row against Davidson according to the announcers tonight. Tighten up the defense and give them food for thought going into a10 tourney.

Even though it was another case of a late lead disappearing, this one felt a little different because we didn’t just stop scoring with 4 minutes left or something - Loyola made a bunch of shots down the stretch (5-6 in the last three minutes, 3-3 from three), and we made enough plays to hold on in the end. Carey turnover was tough, but otherwise not a lot to point to in terms of “blowing” it, just good shotmaking from Loyola. They scored 15 points in the last 3 minutes, an unsustainable pace which would translate to about 200 points if they shot at that clip for 40 minutes.

G R O U N D H O G D A Y I S O V E R . Finally a different result in a game and a road game to boot . Nice shooting by a number of players
including Thomas , Leggett and Stewart . A late put back from Martin was also huge . Outstanding ft shooting by the team especially Leggett .
Felt good to win a game even against the bottom of the league. I hope it may have a positive effect going forward . We'll see on Saturday . m
wife and I will be making the drive up from NJ on Saturday morning for that one , hoping for a win.

yeah I thought it was more of a foul on the floor on the replays I saw and even Walt Szczerbiak on post game on CBSSN said it was 100% a foul on the floor, but they called it in the air. i don't recall if Leggett was given two shots or if it were a 1 and 1, but he drained both. Szczerbiak's statement made me think he was granted two shots.
