Weston's fine, but again, he plays the same position as Carey and Martin, who are both better. Miller managed to play the three of them about 61 minutes last game, and it's hard to see how he could get away with much more than that. I think he's at an appropriate level of PT for now. Go out there and bust your ass for 8 to 12 minutes a half, continue the work in the off-season, and he's probably the starting 3 next year.

OK. But the point for me is that if, as an example we are waiting for year three for Weston to start, then the rebuild will take longer. Why would Weston not start next year or see major time with Martin and Carey gone?

I realize this might get lost in the game thread, and since he's 0-for-2 with just one rebound and two turnovers in 10 minutes, my post seems better. But, that doesn't change my thought about his trajectory. He's not getting zero time, so I'm kind of doubtful he'll be much better next year if he's playing, say, 25 to 30 MPG this year, at the expense of Martin and Carey. Players should always have to earn their time, and he's clearly not as good as either one of them.

We need none of the players on this roster if winning is the goal! If we just want to throw around that we will be good when we are good line people will turn on Archie quick and patience will no longer be a virtue. Watching this product is awful. There has been no young players that have developed outside of Ish. All the players Archie brought in our misses so far.

There just really isn’t much to say anymore.

We have some talented pieces, just not a good team.

This might not make sense, but to me it’s easier watching this team knowing we’re bad and having zero expectations, rather than being a fan of St Louis who has underachieved and took themselves out of the at large picture by their inconsistent play.
